1986 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
This is an unbelievably clean, original, highly documented IROC Z28. This is a genuine 2 owner car. I bought it from the original owner who was a collector in Flint MI. I literally have every piece of paperwork that came with the car as well as every service receipt (23 of them) dating back to 1986 including the receipt from Rusty Jones for the rustproofing. Both sets of keys are still hanging on the original Hank Graff Chevrolet key rings where the car was purchased. The documentation on this car includes the original manuals, the original brochure, a letter from GM welcoming the new owner and offering a GM protection plan, the GM protection plan agreement, The letter from Hand Graff Chevrolet in Flint, MI thanking the new owner, Chevrolet ID cards, etc.
The service receipts confirm that, despite the fact the car was in storage most of its life, it had regular oil changes, fluid changes and inspections. The car is in immaculate condition and it would be very hard to find one in better condition and almost impossible to find one in this condition with under 10K miles and all the original documentation and service history. The car is red with gray velour interior. The interior is as clean as the exterior and it doesn't look like the passenger or rear seats were ever even used. The car also has the original glass T-tops in perfect condition. Everything works on the car except the volt meter/battery gauge. I am sure that is a very easy and inexpensive repair. The car even has the original, date code correct, Goodyear Eagle VR50 tires. I left the tires on the car so its 100% original but I highly recommend changing them if you are going to drive the car. The tread is fine with respect to wear but the age makes them unsafe.
The car features the following:AM/FM Stereo Cassette (ERS Enhanced Range Sound System)Power AntennaV8/Tuned Port InjectionPower WindowsPower Door LocksTilt steering wheelPower mirrorsCruise ControlIntermittent WipersHalogen HeadlightsHalogen Fog Lights
If I was going to be very critical of the car, to make it perfect you would need to fix the battery gauge and wet sand the lower lip of the front spoiler. The paint is undamaged but there are a couple cracks in the clear coat a couple inches long. Its hard to see them unless you are looking for them and they don't even show up in the photos. Wet sanding should remove them and no paintwork would be necessary to make the car perfect. I also think the brake lines should be bled and new fluid put in since the brakes seems little mushy. Despite the amount of time in storage, it starts right up every time and runs great. If you are a collector, this is a car you should take a serious look at. If you need additional info or want additional photos of the car, please let me know since I am limited to 24 photos by Ebay. Thanks.
