1945 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:

Up for grabsis this rare 1945 chevy 1/2 ton pickup.

This is a genuine 1945 low production 1/2 ton pickup.

Truck is our sunday driver. This truck never lets us down. Fires right up on even the coldest of days and runs great everytime.

The Transmissio, brake, engin, all function properly. Truck is ready to enjoy.

Pickup features a dump bed installed on the pickup with a hydraulic reservoir and hydraulic cylinder installed under the bed . We believe that one of the owners converted the bed into a dump bed possibly in the late 40's or early 50's for special use.

Truck is driven regularly on a 10-20 mile route through the black hills of south dakota and has never had any issues. This is such a great truck with so much history.

Dump bed is such a converation piece on this truck. Super fun.

The Art Deco styling craze was clearly at the forefront of the designers' minds when Chevrolet updated the look of its trucks for 1941 and continued this design into 1946. Bold, bright vertical and horizontal slats in the grille and bullet-shaped headlamp housings that blended into the fenders put the trucks on the cutting edge of modern design

"The Right Trucks for all Trades," Chevrolet boasted in its 1941 advertisements. "Massive new truck styling making these 1941 Chevrolet trucks the best-looking, as well as the best-performing, trucks in the entire lowest-price field."

The 1941 models rode on wheelbases 1.5 inches longer than their predecessors because designers stretched the "Turret Top" cab's cowl, affording drivers more legroom and a new adjustable seat. A carryover of the new-for-1940 unit, the box was wider than its predecessors; it also boasted stakepockets stamped from heavier gauge steel and rolled flare boards atop the boxsides.

Production of the Art Deco trucks stopped for the switch to war materiel production in January 1942, but resumed on a limited basis from January 1944 through early 1946. This truck is one of those 1/2 ton pickups. These trucks were built with painted trim due to wartime restrictions.

we have had a few questions regarding the year and if the truck has a title. The truck has a clear title and it matches the Vin Tag . Also the truck is a 1945 war model. The search title at the top of the listing has 1941 and 1946 in it so that people can find the truck in search results because the body style was the same from 41 through 46. This truck is a 1945. We welcome all questions and will respond within 24 hours or less. Enjoy the sale !
