1969 Chevrolet El Camino Additional Info:
A value price on a two-tone 1969 Chevrolet El Camino is already going to make you stop and look. But as you dig deeper, you're also going to see thoughtful details, like cold-blowing air conditioning and an overdrive transmission. So the more you look, the more you start to see an irresistible total package.
Red and silver make a nice two-tone, especially with the amount of gloss this one generates. As you look at the detail work, you can see it was done with purpose. That's why there's a blue pinstripe to create a distinct dividing line for the two colors. And it's a custom design with a kick-up over the rear wheel. That combines with the larger and wider rear rubber to create a very powerful look. There's more thoughtfulness in the details. Not only is there a tonneau covering the bed, but also beneath it is liner paint to keep this looking good and quite useful. You can see there was a nice investment in the shine of the chrome bumpers during the restoration, and that kind of added classic American elegance goes nicely with the bright Cragar wire wheels.
Nice custom touches continue inside, and you instantly know that thanks to the full lighting package that glows a distinct purple. But while this looks cool, it's also done with comfort and function in mind. The classic bench seat is nicely finished, and any time you're not sitting three across, the removable cup holder center console provides some nice individual space. There's an upgraded retro-style AM/FM digital tuner, and you stay comfortable modern R-134A air conditioning. There's an upgraded sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and that gives you a good view of the gauge package with a handy temp readout added in the center.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 307 cubic-inch V8. And you're going to have to tell people about the original motor, because the custom setup will have them all assuming it was replaced. That's because it's a well-coordinated package with the bold red block matching with the trim on the bright valve covers and air topper. Even the plug wires are done in this red. The V8 inhales deeper with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. This is a nice running setup that gets to be enjoyed to the fullest because it's now mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. Add in power steering and power brakes with discs up front, and it delivers a classic made for the road.
This is the custom El Camino with an appeal that goes well beyond its affordable price. So don't miss this deal. Call now!
