1968 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:

I’m selling my 1968 Camaro Convertible V8 4 Speed Manual. I’ve had this car for about 5-6 years now and was purchased as a project car to be rebuilt. This car is just a weekend pleasure ride, and produces around 300 hp. This car is a classic muscle car and you feel the power with every press of the pedal, however this is not a race car, it is a leisure ride that has never let us down, it is garage kept and never taken out in the snow or rain. When I purchased this car it was just a shell. When this car was purchased it came with a 327 GM motor that was completely rebuilt, i believe that this motor is appropriate for the time to come with the car.

This has a completely rebuilt Saginaw Transmission, new clutch pressure plate and fly wheel, includes throwout bearing, fork and pilot bearing. All new universals in the drive shaft. It is a 373 gear rear end and it is completely rebuilt 10 bolt rear end with a new summit posi-traction. New 4 wheel slotted disc brakes, all new brake and fuel lines, all new Ridler wheels and tires (front tires are Outside 215/45ZR17 91W) (rear tires are Nankang 245/35ZR20 95Y). Brand new dual exhaust system. Brand new updated complete electrical harness from American Autowire, with updated fuses. New Viking Performance front coil overs. Complete brand new suspension, Hotchkis high performance crossmember in order to capacitate use of dual exhaust system. Brand new Flowmaster exhaust system. New gas tank including sending unit and straps, new mono leaf springs, new air shocks. This car came with a complete new floor, all new emergency brake cables, wires and brackets.

Almost all of the sheet metal in this car is new, including the cowl induction hood, both fenders, wheel wells, header panel and lower valance, left and right quarter panels, new trunk lid and spoiler. New tail lights and reverse lights. New hood hinges and springs, new Interstate battery, new air horn, brand new weather strips. New front grill including mouldings, new halogen headlight bulbs, new signal lights assembly. All four shakers are original and restored and painted to match. This car has all new aftermarket glass, with the front windshield being slightly thinner than the original, but no leakage. The chrome on the car is original and may show signs of age. Left and right sun visors are new as well.

This engine is a completely rebuilt 327 Camo-hump heads, new oil pan new timing chain cover, new water pump, rebuilt alternator, 650 Edelbrock intake manifold aluminum, all new aluminum valve covers. Engine cradle removed, sandblasted, primed and undercoated, installed back with new bushings and new bolts. New transmission and engine mounts. Electronic ignition distributor, brand new aluminum radiator, new upper and lower tubular control arms, new front and rear bumpers, new front stabilizer bar. Brand new brake booster and master cylinder, windshield washer bottle, new wiper motor and assembly. New flex fan. New heater core and new complete convertible top.

The interior is completely new, with new dash pad, new wood steering wheel. All new locks and inner and outer handles, including ignition lock, new window crank handles. New cigarette lighter assembly. Aftermarket radio and power amp, built into the trunk and out of the way. All new signal switch assembly, rebuilt steering column, aftermarket oil pressure, temperature and ampere gauges. New glove box and original center console.

I am certain there are other things I have done to the car to improve it that i just can’t recall off the top of my head, however the next owner can absolutely bring this car to the next level if they so choose. I have seen other similar camaros with far less love and effort gone into them going for a lot more than this one is, this is a worthwhile investment for anyone from the newest driver to the most experienced collectors, as these vehicles almost never lose value. This was a project car for me in my retirement years and just look to my rating and reviews if you have any doubts as to my experience.

This item is being sold AS IS, with no returns accepted. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a message and I will do my best to answer them. Happy Bidding!
