Hi, You are looking at a 1961 Apache 10, Short Bed, This was a one Family owned Pickup Since New, Just until a couple of months ago. It was Purchased at a Chevrolet dealership in Monrovia California, And ironically, It was still in the same city When I Recently Purchased It. The License frames Holds the original Dealerships Name, That is no longer in Business. It also still has it’s original California Black Plates. Here is also something nice about this pickup. It comes with it’s original hard to find complete set Of side trim/ moldings, I have seen people asking a price in the Neighborhood of Around $3,000-$5,000 and they wasn’t even short Bed Moldings/ Trim. And they were nowhere near as Nice as theses That are on this Pickup. The only rust that is on this Pickup, is on the lower front fenders, Not bad at all. The floors And rockers, are nice original and solid! The flaking that you might see in the pictures of the floors. Is just the factory undercoating coming lose. The rain drip rail around the roof of the cab is dry, And rust free. However, It does have a very minor dent on the passenger rear top of the Drip Rail. Again very minor, I had the truck for a little while... And I just recently noticed it. And it is so small I will probably forget about it... It Does not have on its original Year and model hubcaps, But you can find a set, Online or even here on EBAY For Sale. This Pickup was originally a 3 on the tree/manual. It now has a 3 Speed turbo 350 automatic transmission. I would like to consider it a upgrade. But everyone has there own preference. I do Believe the engine is the original 283 V8, The original owners mentioned that they had the engine rebuilt many years ago. And were not sure if the mechanic replaced the engine, or did a rebuilt. Truck Runs and drives fair. It’s been sitting since 1990. I had the water pump replaced, gas tank was cleaned out, new tires, Plugs, Brake lines Was also drained and cleaned, the engine is smooth running, has plenty of compression, carburetor will Need some tlc, Interior is completely bone stock original, It has never been repainted inside of the cab, Or Butchered to put a pull out radio, if you are a 80’S Kid like me, You would know what I’m talking about. The bench seat Is also original, It was never Re done. It still has most of it’s original build sheet behind the back side of the seat. The truck was repainted once, In the early 80’S a solid Dark blue, The owner said, That he wanted to go for a different look, And yes it probably is $99 one a day paint job, However the Jams are untouched, and for the most part the original paint that is underneath is trying to brake free from the Dark side. Please keep in mind, This truck is really straight, And tells no lies, What you see is what you get! |
