1963 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
Restored Red on Red Corvette Convertible 327 Automatic Power Steering ///
Originally purchased as a cruiser, as evidenced by its 300 horsepower 327 and 2-speed Powerglide transmission, this sweet Vette is currently a drop-dead gorgeous mid-year classic that's an absolute blast to drive! All Corvettes are red is probably an overstatement, but it's hard to argue that red Corvettes don't look awesome. This Riverside Red roadster is simply stunning in person, with paint that's so vivid and rich it still looks wet! The car's fiberglass has been correctly prepped and sanded, with bonding seams that are practically invisible, giving this Sting Ray a slick look that was notably absent when these Chevys were new. Alignment is good all around, and the headlight doors fit well. You'll also notice how crisp the details are, with sharp creases capping each body line. This really is a beautifully done classic! Tip the hood and you'll find a 300 horsepower 327 that's both solid and reliable. The transmission is a 2-speed Powerglide. 1963 was also the first year for 4-wheel independent suspension on the Corvette, and the improvement in ride and handling is quite tangible when driven back to back with a '62 model. In back, there's a 3.36 axle that makes highway cruising easy, while still delivering the potent acceleration that Corvettes are rightly famous for. And gorgeous aluminum wheels twist faux spinners inside BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial gold lines. Between the doors, a correct Red interior looks like it's hardly been used. Vinyl seats are comfortable enough for long drives through the country. Those stylish gauges may actually be original and look fantastic. The center console houses a short shifter and controls for optional power windows. And overhead, a crisp, White convertible top seals tightly and folds easily.
