1970 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:

1970 Chevrolet Impala

Residing on the African Savannah and confronted with a threat, the sleek, nimble, and fast Impala will take flight to outrun or confuse its competitor. Aptly named, the Chevrolet version introduced in 1958, continued to emulate its animal namesake through years of design modifications, and power options made available.

For consignment a Chevrolet Impala tangerine dream (along with some burgundy to make it really trippy). A bagged, slightly shaved and simplified low rider Impala from 1970. This skate is totally customized with a big big block engine dipped in chrome, some snazzy low profile wheels that allow for the smooth cruise. A Colt 45 and 2 Zig Zags, skatin' on Dayton rims..

Exterior
This large and in charge slab sided GM piece of Detroit iron, now turned art form, actually skates on 18 inch on front and 20 inch on back Raceline polished wheels wrapped in low profile radials. The front of the car with its triple V design (one large one in the center and single smalls on the sides) house dual headlights and a horizontal ribbed simplified grille in between. The bumper shiny and mirror-like, emulates the hood line, and another small grille is below. Tangerine Orange paint covers the car to the just below the belt line, then it gets even more interesting with a delineation line in thin burgundy pinstripe, and a crackle painted line in orange and white, then we can finally start the Burgundy. An excellent wild color combo with an even wilder and cool border between the two. Near perfecto-mundo chrome trimmings and brite-work are on this car and are as new looking as can be.

Interior
So, roll roll roll the 70 Impala Cheveee...and indeed in style with this rust colored brown leather on the door panels highlighted with tuck and roll angled orange strips. The front buckets are brown rust colored leather and are simply dope. Not a mark on them, and they are surrounded by perfect plastic tubs on the bottom and backs. The rear bench is just as nice and stretches from more leather side panel to side panel. A custom console in rust brown streaks up the center and houses a Hurst shifter with a leather boot. To the dash where it has been stripped of all the analog gauges and now shows all digital displays, and a new wood appliqu strip which houses the AM/FM/CD radio. Just a beautiful job on the dash. Also, more thick pile deep orange/rust carpet shows not a mark on it and floods the floors. A tight broadcloth fuzzy headliner hangs above and finishes off this interior in ultra-cool style.

Drivetrain
Let's totally throw out the original grocery getter engine, paint the engine bay more two-tone orange and burgundy, then dip a 502ci monster that puts out 502 horsepower in chrome then gently place it into the engine bay. Vrrrroom! Let's put a shiny single 4-barrel Quickfuel carb on top and add a TH400 3-speed automatic tranny to the back, and Main Street never came to such a stop with heads a turning. Oh, and lest I forget some stainless headers and a Flowmaster exhaust so not only will they see you they will hear you too!!

Undercarriage
Just pure Suh-weetness underneath with a frame off resto, black everywhere with no it a hint of rust, a 12-bolt rear, and that sexy bagged suspension and power discs all around and we are in eye candy heaven. A beautiful build underneath.

Drive-Ability
Fires up with a bang and move that shifter and you are buried into the leather seats. The digital dash is way kewl, and all is in perfect working condition. Ride is smooth as silk, and acceleration is impressive. This is a large piece of iron you are rolling around in, and it does so beautifully in turns and straights on our test track.

Pure gangstah, but in a great way, this restomod takes a 1970 Impala and turns it onto a rolling work of street art. Excellent colors, chrome dipped engine, and the bagged low profile wheels and suspension and we have an awesome 1970 turn-key resto-mod skate.
