1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible Additional Info:
It's not just that this 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible has a terrific factory all-red look. As you dig deeper, you'll see an upgraded interior, a performance V8 motor, and five speed that gives you an extra gear to really take advantage of it all. So keep reading, because as you find out about more details, this convertible only gets better.
The Chevelle's design was still fresh on the scene in '65. It represented the new edge style of the 1960s, especially the flared rear quarter panels that are one of the car's defining features. And the trim line that runs the full length of the car showcases the Malibu's premium spirit. The factory-correct Regal Red has the kind of gloss and shine from a solid investment. So it's going to radiate in the sunlight exactly how you want a sunshine-friendly convertible to do. Plus, there has been more investment in great details work like the wide chrome bumpers with a mirror-like shine, new black convertible top, and bright American Racing Torq Thrust wheels.
As good as this looks with the top in place, a car like this was meant to be open to the world. So with the flip of a switch, the top power down to reveal the awesome two-tone red interior. And with the taut convertible boot in place, this one has an absolutely awesome multi-tone full red appearance that almost looks European. There are some great vintage touches like the bright dash and the AM radio that's still on display. But what you'll really love are all the well-integrated upgrades. For example, the seat is now finished in fresh vinyl and it power adjusts to your ideal position. The Lecarra wood-rimmed steering wheel is on a tilt column, and there are plenty of upgraded readouts, like the auxiliary gauge trio under the dash and large tach prominently on the steering column. That last one goes particularly well with the Hurst shifter... and have you counted the gears on it yet?
This Chevelle was born at the beginning of the small block's dominance, and so it's great to lift the hood and see such an impressive powerplant. There's fresh wires, belts, and a bright block. They even added an aluminum radiator. It's a 327 cubic-inch V8, which is the correct displacement when you wanted the hot small block '65. But if you look closer, they packed this one with go-fast upgrades, like a Holley dual-feed four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and Hedman long tube headers that add power and rumble to the dual exhaust. When you have a serious V8 like this, it's great to have a five-speed that gives an extra gear for total control, and a stout 12 bolt rear with boxed control arms. And more than just all-out speed, this Malibu has great any time driving features like upgraded bushings, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front.
This is the cool droptop with the right presentation and speedy upgrades you want. So don't let a total package classic go into someone else's garage. Call today!!!
