1991 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
Really rare find. The Camaro had sat for about 15 years in the Florida sun after the original order deceased. I purchased the car in July 2019 as it had an extremely straight body. Manual windows and T-Tops make it a perfectly optioned car for cruising in the sun. To get it running, new gas tank, fuel pump, fuel lines and minor tune up by mechanic were performed $821.36. Battery is brand new purchased two weeks ago $124.00. In November 2019 I traded the BluePrint crate motor to be installed in the car for a motorcycle and firearms, however, in hindsight, I honestly would have felt guilty for altering it, as it such a nice original survivor. The car was painted in a friend's body shop, the supplies alone were $1,000.00 (receipt available). The car came out looking great, but please keep in mind this is no $6,000.00 show car paint job. Imperfections here and there. The Camaro is rust free, underneath too - floors are great. So far I have only found rust through holes on battery tray (very common). Interior is in simply amazing condition for the age. Obviously, some little plastic pieces here and there have cracks, are loose, missing portions. Otherwise, if you know your third generation Camaros you will agree the interior is in fantastic condition. Headliner is in great shape as well. The 305 cubic inch V8 with 84,500 original miles runs strong and starts up every time. No leaks. A/C still blows cold. Transmission shifts as it should, works great. No leaks. Brakes should be replaced soon, but car drives and stops. Tires are very old - tread looks new, but there is evidence of dry rot. The longest distance I drove the car was 35 miles and had no issues with the tires, but obviously they will need replacement. Weather strip around windows is deteriorated and brittle. T-Tops are super solid - absolutely no leaks at all. Have spare T-top in trunk. Rearview mirror is detached from windshield. Muffler is missing, but the car sounds great - deep and throaty as is. Dash pad is cracked. Can replace with new one if requested at new owner's expense - they are very easy to replace. Wheels show age, but are in great shape. Now for the heartache: as the car was stored at my mother's house, 72 hours after it was painted she backed up into the Camaro with her Nissan Sentra. The damage to the passenger side quarter panel/wheel well is depicted in the last photograph with a dollar bill for reference as to the scope of the damage. I wish to be 100% transparent and honest with the condition of the vehicle, thus I did not pound it out from inside the trunk and apply filler. Please contact me if you want the damage repaired by the same shop that painted it, for additional cost (quarter panel replacement) I have video of the damaged area depicting all angles, I can send that if e-mail is provided. I want this gar to go to a good home where it will be restored properly and kept original, as third generation Camaro values have increased substantially in recent years. I know I am forgetting some stuff, but will update the listing as I recall more details. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns or interesting trades/proposals. Will help with transport. This is a wonderful investment opportunity and an even better way to cruise in nice weather.
Thank you and good luck bidding! : )
