1968 Chevrolet Corvette Original 1 Owner Survivor - 4 speed AC - Barn Find Additional Info:
I am selling a beautiful, unrestored 1968 Corvette Convertible. It is an all original survivor and true 1 owner car with 63,324 original miles. It still has the original title from 1968, along with the protect-o-plate and VIN perforated warranty/service booklet. The engine is the original, numbers matching L79 327/350HP motor and 4 speed manual transmission. Options include factory AC, 2 convertible tops (soft top and vinyl covered hard top), telescoping steering wheel, AM/FM radio, and Cordovan Maroon paint.
A true barn/garage find; when I discovered the Corvette, it was stored away in a garage since 1980 with a registration sticker that expired in 1981. I had the car completely gone through mechanically with all new brakes, gas tank, exhaust, and complete tune up. Now it starts right up and runs great, like a true 63k mile car. It idles smooth and has a great exhaust note. All of the gauges, tach, speedo, pop-up lights, wipers, signals, interior lights, etc... all work as they should. The original smog pump was removed but it does come with the car.The rare Cordovan Maroon paint looks to be all original so I just gave it a good cleaning and light polish and it shines great. The original black interior is in great shape as well with minimal wear, even the convertible soft top is still in good shape.Overall, it's a beautiful and collectible, 1 owner Corvette convertible with rare options. Finding another one like it doesn't happen everyday. It isn't a perfect show car, but an unrestored original car. This is a NO RESERVE auction meaning the car will be sold to the highest bidder. Sold as-is. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to come see the car in person.
