1975 Chevrolet C30 Dually
Restomod (restoration plus modern parts/technology) draws from all the amazing advancements in automobile technology over the past 40 plus years to enhance the performance, comfort and safety of the classic car. A restomod car has the timeless appearance of the original, but the outdated guts of the car have been replaced with the more modern, high-performance parts of today. You achieve the same great look, but your vintage car will be revved up with all the latest bells and whistles to create a much better ride for the owner.
For consignment a wild ride in C30 dually trimmings. Worked over to be bagged lower, a custom bed added and lifted from the frame to allow for a fuel cell, awesome 22 inch Budd wheels wrapped in low profile tires and a 5.9 liter diesel that can tow a train. Now you're talking trucking in style, and you will be the only one on your block with such a creation.
Exterior
The elongated crew cab complete with 4 doors and plenty of room is bathed in white with some buckskin paint to add just a bit of contrast. As we move down the pillars, hood, and sides take on more Buckskin paint which is interrupted in the middle by a wide strip of white with a surround of airbrushed trim. This strip runs from front to rear tailgate and back to the front again and is bordered by that amazing airbrush artistry. The only breakup is a wide fender to accommodate the dual rear wheels and tires, and this is bathed in pure buckskin. White bumpers add to the color changes, and up front a white bumper and the original egg crate chromed and bowtie grille, looking original is framing the single headlights. The bed has been raised, and the inside of the bed on the metal is all Buckskin and all looking good. Pine boards complete the bed, and these have chromed dividers, are stained a complimentary mahogany stain, and then varnished to give a bowling alley like feel to the bed. All chrome trim is nicely preserved and looking just fine on this long low rider.
Interior
Beautifully redone in their original configuration the door panels are white, buckskin, tan and black, and have shiny levers and window cranks. Gold carpeting covers the bottom quarter of these panels. Turning out attention to the interior of the truck, we see tuck and roll buckskin inserts in a field of clean white bolsters, in bench form. The original GM dash stares us in the face when behind the wheel sports speckle paint, and a tricky drilled Impala steering wheel in light tan and white with plenty of chrome can be seen fronting this multi gauged and toggled dash. Vintage air is installed but needs a charge. Gold carpeting floods the floors and a large comfortable rear bench in the same pattern and colors as the front stretches from second door to second door. A large tall gearshift lever rises almost to the ceiling and has a saddle faux leather boot. The headliner is nicely glued to the molded ceiling and is in very light tan.
Drivetrain
A 5.9 Liter Cummins Diesel with diesel injection, a towing can and a Holeset turbo that whistles at you when you stomp on the accelerator. This engine has a fire ringed head, and a ceramic coated manifold. An NV4500 5-speed manual transmission is behind and a 14 bolt 3.42 geared rear axle is on back to spin the rear tires. All this raw power is looking clean and awesome under the long hood. Very nicely done just as the rest of the truck.
Undercarriage
We could not get this big boy on our lift, but we can see clean and rust-free structural steel, and all painted in the Buckskin color with black accenting. The frame has been back halved behind the cab and it has a 4 link with a watts link and has a heavy 3.46 tubing so you can tow...a LOT! All hard plumbed air lines in stainless, and all else in as much stainless as is available for the add ons. An engine drive compressor runs the airbags and has a backup compressor in electric sitting by just in case.
Drive-Ability
Starts right up and runs fantastic. Sounds like a big rig and has plenty of power. Surprisingly easy to shift and drives like a small truck with a smooth ride.
A great and powerful C30 with fantastic mechanicals that should prove to be bulletproof in many situations, and all high-end materials used in the build. A real looker and a strong cooker, you'll be spewing out smoke from the engine and the tires very soon.
