1981 Chevrolet El Camino Additional Info:
This 1981 Chevrolet El Camino has a slick look, upgraded V8, and a custom interior that lets you enjoy it all.
You instantly want to take notice of this El Camino, and that's thanks to the paint. It's a recent application of a modern red. It was laid down with a carful hand, and so the modern clearcoat shine looks wet in the sunlight. This kind of new slick paint really makes us appreciate the lines of this final generation. As the light rolls across the hood, you see some nice creases that add distinction. The roofline has the sporty slope and flying buttress of a classic muscle car. And the rear lights were mounted within the bumper like a custom creation. In fact, the license plate was moved to the bumper just so this could have an even smoother custom tailgate. And the addition of 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels adds to both the overall shine and sporty appearance of this whole package.
The all-black interior is a fresher addition and it has the look of performance. That means upgrades like Camaro-style high-back bucket seats with a B&M shifter in the middle. You get a grippy Grant GT sports steering wheel, and the dash has now been redone to put emphasis on the gauges. There's a large AutoMeter speedo and tach directly in front of you, and the oil, water, and battery are just above the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo.
The engine bay has the instant look of performance. The 350 cubic-inch V8 has a speedy appearance with the addition of the Edelbrock ribbed air topper and matching valve covers. But what you'll really love is how the top end of this motor was rebuilt for power. This includes the addition of an Edelbrock 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. Plus, there's an upgraded cam to let this small block really develop its power. The headers add to the muscle while also adding to the rumble of the dual exhaust. With a well-done motor like this, the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission was given a 2500 stall and shift kit to keep you in the optimal powerband. And the 3.73 rear end with Positraction is there to give you confident take-offs. Add in power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and wide BF Goodrich T/As, and this El Camino is a ton of fun on the streets.
Power, poise, and a value price: this El Camino delivers exactly what you want. So don't miss this deal, call today!
