1984 Chevrolet El Camino Additional Info:
This 1984 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport previously resided in California as part of the Art Astor collection where it was bought new. and came to the current owner in Nevada in 2010, but resides in Los Angeles. It shows 86k miles which are original and the odometer has not turned over. Its powered by a carbureted 305ci V8 coupled with a three-speed automatic transmission. The truck is finished in two-tone beige and brown over a brown velour interior. Recent service included a carburetor rebuild, radiator cleaning, plus replacement belts, hoses, water pump, vacuum lines, PCV valve, ignition components, and rear brakes. This El Camino is in Los Angeles, California with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Nevada title.
The bodywork is finished in two-tone sand beige with brown lower portions. Factory badging is present on the rear quarters, and close-up gallery photos depict the trim, finish, and glass. The inside of the pickup box is also shown in the gallery below and there are a few minor typical chips on the plastic bumper fillers in the front (which are hard to see)
Factory 14″ wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 215/70. At 85k miles the car received new rear brake shoes, drums, wheel cylinders, and brake hardware. A rear brake adjustment was performed more recently.
The cabin is upholstered in brown velour with matching carpets and plastics, faux-wood veneers on the dash, and a Super Sport emblem above the glovebox. The air conditioning has been converted to R134 refrigerant according to an included invoice.
The vehicle is equipped with a factory stereo, power windows, and an adjustable steering column. Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and a quartet of auxiliary gauges. Approximately 86k miles are shown, 6k of which were added under current ownership.
The 305ci V8 is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Service records are available for approximately the past ten years, and recent work included rebuilding the carburetor, cleaning the radiator, changing the engine oil and filter, as well as replacing belts, hoses, water neck, thermostat, water pump, vacuum lines, PCV valve, and ignition components.
The truck is equipped with Superlift air-adjustable rear shocks, and a new exhaust system and catalytic converter were recently fitted. Additional photos of the floors, suspension components, driveline, and more are presented in the gallery.
The Carfax report first updates in 1991, and it shows history in California and Nevada thereafter. No accidents or other issues are listed.
My standard disclaimer/mantra for any car regardless of service or price: The car is sold with no warranty. You are buying a used car. Eventually every car will break, if you find one that doesn't please let me know. I do my ABSOLUTE BEST to describe accurately the shape of the car, but keep in mind it is impossible to discuss every detail of a car for better or worse. If ever you encounter an issue I do my best to provide advice, direction or even parts if I have them. Please understand that it is a used car and will have minor signs of use. That means please do not expect a showroom brand new car. Please adjust your expectation level to that of a car that however is in VERY good condition. Please only bid if you intend to buy. If you would like to have an Ebay 3rd party mechanic service check out the car I MORE than welcome it. Please have the car checked out before bidding and not after, if you intend to use that service. And please, if you would like to utilize this service, contact me with more than a couple days left in the auction so we can arrange schedules. Please check your local laws and registration procedures before buying. Buying over the internet can be scary sometimes! I get it, because I am an enthusiast too!! For that very reason, I am more than happy to answer every and any question you may so you know 100% what you are buying. But, please ask any and all questions ahead of purchase! It is impossible to list every pro and con of a car, I am not an inspection service, and my description does not replace one! It is your responsibility as a buyer to do your due diligence and inspect the car. All sales are final, you are buying as-is, the sky is blue, etc, etc. Sorry to have to give the boring speech!
Please feel free to ask any and all questions!!
