1965 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:
1965 Chevrolet Impala 2 door with original 396 ci engine. This is a 55 year old car so, no, it's not perfect.
Please read on before asking questions.
What this is, is one of the highest priced cars at the last Mecum auction. It's in better shape than the pictures let on. The body is solid, the doors don't sag and close nice and solid. And, this appears to be a numbers matching car. Rust in the photos is all on the surface, none of it has created a hole.
And, even though it's my dream car, I have to let it go. I have had three spinal surgeries and can no longer bend, twist, or pull, or anything else so I can't do any of the work to make this thing pretty again.
Badges on front fenders say 396. Does not run at this time. The engine did roll over a few months ago but is currently stuck. Can't be a big deal since it's only been sitting for a little while since then. Some Marvel and a ratchet will get it going again.
Intact, all parts are present except original wheels, radiator, and key switch. Those parts and anything else you could possibly want for this car are easy to find and available online.
All glass is intact including windows and vent windows. All still roll up and down. All trim is present, tail lights are all intact and present. The interior is rough but all original, the body is fairly solid.
Bill of Sale, no title. But that's easy to fix with a 50 year old car.
Asking $6995 but will entertain offers.
Great project car, can be resurrected into one of the most desirable cars on the road today. Restored Impalas are priced as high as $50-$60,000.
Kept inside storage in Holland, MI, where it can be seen by appointment. Bring a trailer.
