Offered here is a clean and tastefully upgraded 1964 Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova 400. Straight body with a fresh repaint, crisp interior, and a 'slight' upgrade under the hood make this classic Chevy special.
Our client acquired this clean Chevy II/Nova 400 out of Detroit, and figured it deserved a few upgrades. The engine being the most prominent upgrade on this docile looking mid size classic. The car is finished in metallic Blue which is very similar to Chevy's Silver Blue Metallic that was offered on the '64 Nova's. It is a fresh paint job done this past summer, changing the car's color from the original Desert Beige to the current Blue Metallic. Body fittings are straight and there's no rust to be found underneath. Trim, bumpers, chrome, and badging remain in excellent condition. The addition of the Rallye Wheels gives a hint of what is under the hood for eagle-eyed enthusiasts, but the rest of the exterior is left stock.
The interior shows very well, the black vinyl seats, and black door panels are in great condition. The dashboard is left standard other than a AM/FM/Cassette player, and a shiny B&M shifter is mounted in between the front seats.
Gone is the carbureted, smaller displacement original power plant originally found in the engine bay, replaced by a 5.7L V8 Corvette LT1. The engine has a number of polished parts, and has been installed very neatly in this classic. This car has an awesome sound and drives incredibly well. The LT1 has almost 100 horsepower more than the 283 V8 originally offered in the '64 Nova. More horsepower in this car's little frame is a lot of fun.....and the docile looks make the surprise of the extra horsepower even more fun!
These Chevy II Novas continue to rise in collectibility and we love the stance on this one. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.
