-Recent Frame Restoration. The body and drive train were removed from the frame and the frame was stripped down, sand blasted, and painted before reassembly.
-The body and paint were in decent shape to begin with and did not warrant a full restoration. The paint has a few blemishes but is overall very presentable. The Firewall has a fresh coat of matching Ochre paint. The front inner fenders as well as the rocker boxes have been replaced and are brand new.
-The engine started off as a basic GMGoodwrenchcrate engine. We added SummitVortecheads, Summit Dual Plane Intake, 4-barrelEdelbrockCarburetor with electric choke, and MSD Electric Distributor and Plug Wires. It has new exhaust manifolds and a true dual exhaust with turbo mufflers. The oil run in this engine isValvolineVR-1 20W-50 which is necessary for its high zinc content. The flywheel was resurfaced and a new clutch and pressure plate were installed. The front driveshaft is also new.
-Interior has a new carpet installed along with a matching dash pad. All the seats are in excellent condition and the seat belts are all brand new.Padding/Insulation on the inside of the firewall is all brand new.The gauge cluster was freshened up and all gauges are functional. In addition to the stock gauges a tachometer was added to the steering column.Amechanical temperature gauge, air/fuel ratiogauge, and volt gauge were mounted just below the heater controls. The heater core was also replaced and the heat works great. A modern stereo with Bluetooth had been installed inthe past, so we hid speakers under the seats to retain as much of a stock look as we could.
-The vehicles original wiring harness was removed from the car and restored. The original fuse box and plugs were retained, but most of the wiring was replaced with fresh wiring and the two main fuses under the hood replaced with modern fuses. The headlight wiring has been upgraded with two relays, one for low beams and one for high beams. The original mechanical washer fluid pump was removed and replaced with an electric pump.
-All of the brake lines and hoses are brand new. The fuel lines have also been replaced along with a fresh fuel pump and filter.
-The suspension is all brand new. It has a 4 inch lift spring in the front and a 2 inch lift spring accompanied with a 2 inch lift block in the back. The combination of spring and block insures a better ride quality than that of the 4 inch lift spring. The shocks are all new as well as a new steering stabilizer on the front axle. All of the steering joints and ball joints on the front axle were recently replaced with all "Moog" parts.
-This 1972 Blazer runs, drives, and stops better than it did the day it was new. With the upgraded engine and manual 4-speed, this blazer is anything but slow and a great time to drive. The fresh interior and new suspension make for a surprisingly good ride quality.
-All receipts, invoices, and part manuals, are included in a chronologically ordered binder.
