Right car, right color, right price? This 1969 Camaro SS hits a lot of high notes, and there aren't many more desirable pieces of vintage muscle than a '69 Camaro. Admit it, this gorgeous big block F-body would look pretty good in your garage, wouldn't it? Pretty hard to resist a bright red Camaro with arrow-straight bodywork. We dig the aggressive cowl-induction hood, chin spoiler, and duck tail spoiler out back, all tied together with a black... vinyl top. Yeah, this is a car that gets attention for all the right reasons. The bright trim stands out quite well, so it's important to get it in good condition before installation, and as a result, this Camaro wears beautifully polished fender trim, quarter panel gills, and rockers, not to mention the bright chrome bumpers, all of which sparkle against the paint like jewelry. SS badges have been installed in all the right places, with correct '396' badges on the front fenders to advertise the big block under the hood (although they don't quite tell the full story, but we'll get to that in a moment). The clean black vinyl interior epitomizes Camaro cool in 1969 and looks timeless today. Using correct reproduction seat covers, the interior is no-nonsense and monochromatic, but in good condition overall. Factory gauges in the dash are joined by a trio of Auto Meter Ultra Light auxiliary gauges under the dash. A center console houses the horseshoe shifter, and the three-spoke steering wheel is a standard plastic piece, which is seldom seen these days with all the reproduction woodgrain wheels showing up. There's a stock-looking radio block-off plate, and we like the no-nonsense attitude, but it would also be easy to add the entertainment system of your choice without having to undo someone else's work. No surprises in the trunk, either, which has clean sheetmetal and needs nothing but a reproduction mat to look like 1969 all over again. With 454 cubic inches of Chevy V8 under the hood, this Camaro need make no excuses on the street, either. It was rebuilt to resemble the legendary L78 396/350 horsepower version, but it's likely even more potent than that. Upgrades include an aluminum intake manifold, Holley double-pumper carburetor, a giant aluminum radiator, and a set of long-tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers that give it a cackling idle. Chrome dress-up parts make it sparkle against the black engine bay and Chevy Orange paint looks good no matter where it lives. The transmission is a TH400 3-speed automatic driving a 10-bolt rear end, and you can see how shockingly clean this car is underneath. A new gas tank hangs out back and trick 17-inch Torque Thrust style wheels wear staggered 225/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear performance radials. If you've been looking for just the right combination of quality, looks, and price, this '69 Camaro definitely delivers. Call today!
