1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 210 Additional Info:

I'm offering a "Buy It Now" Option! MAKE AN OFFER option available too! Very sharp car here!
Offered today in my1957 Chevrolet 210 model 2 door hardtop. Restored on frame I believe, approximately 20 years ago. Real nice car. Shows some wear and tear. Not a 100% show car... but very nice. Has a minor chip/flaw here and there. You must look very close to see. Over all a very cool 2 door hardtop '57! You will love it! Gets thumbs up everywhere!
My car was built in Canada. U.S. Production figures of the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hard tops were over 168,000. The 210 model built in the US was a little over 23,000. Canadian figures I could not find. Very limited production "210" model!
The vin is located on a tag on the firewall. Correct for Canadian built cars. Appears to have never been off, as well as the other tag that has the paint and trim codes.
Title shows it was previously a Florida car. Sat on a Chevrolet dealership show room floor for quite some time about 17 years ago.
The car is powered by a Small block V8. I believe it to be a 283, backed by a 3 speed manual transmission. Newer mild dual exhaust. Very quiet, tight with ample power. Drives straight and true. Under hood compartment is above average but has been driven.
Really drives great for its age!
The cars body is real straight in my opinion. I see no rust and the panels/doors line up very well. See pictures. Doors shut solid. Over glass in the front doors "flippers" work as they should. The under body is solid as well. The body mounts are all in tact. The trunk looks good too. A bit of water has sat under the mat and has developed some surface rust. The rest of the trunk looks very solid. Even behind the bumper. I did not participate in the restoration. All body work / restoration that was done looks quite good to me.
The interior is very nice. It has the correct 1957 210 seat fabric and door panels. Has good carpet, headliner. Rear package deck is nice. Just shows some minor wear from time, driving etc.
All the lights work. Dash lights work too. Turn signals, headlights, high beams, tail lights and brake lights all fine. Horn works. Has an aftermarket am fm 8 track radio too that works.
The tires are in good shape. Correct hubcaps. Color keyed wheels. The brakes were redone also with new lines shoes and proportion valve for safety. Hardly no pull at all upon braking. A good driver.
The 3 speed transmission shifts well, but has hung up on me once or twice. This may need attention. I've oiled it and it seemed to help.
Good oil pressure, battery charges properly with the generator. Accelerates to 65 plus with ease. No wobbling no excessive vibrations.
Most the body chrome has been replaced and looks wonderful. See pictures. Being a Canadian built car it has the one piece front bumper. It also came with tinted shade lite tinted glass. The glass is good and looks tinted to me. All the stainless is nice. A lot of it was polished out. Few pieces need a bit more polishing, but overall are very nice.
The color of the car is called "Dusky Rose" with the Dover white top. These are Canadian names as they were a not the same name as US built cars and were a shade darker I'm told. I have nothing to compare the current paint to so I'm assuming they are the correct shade.
Overall this is a beautiful car with age. It is not a perfect "10'. I consider it a "Driver" weekend show car. It is however a very nice well kept car.
I have a state issued resale certificate which my state requires in order to have my collection of cars. I'm more of a Mopar guy. But who doesn't like '57 Chevy's?
The car is sold "as is". You should be very pleased with this solid rare car. I was when I got it! In person inspections are welcomed and encouraged. Opinions on condition and shape can vary from person to person. Look at pictures and re read my description if needed. This is a nice driver car!
