It was stated to me that this was a one owner car with original mileage that was acquired a few years ago from the original owner who gave it to the gentleman we got it from. The car had been out of service since the early 1990s so we had the tank removed cleaned and serviced all the... fuel lines blown out along with replacing the fuel pump,brake master cylinder, rebuild the carburetor and several hours of tinkering to get it to run. The factory straight 6 cylinder was pretty standard for the Biscayne's and these were produced primarily for fleet and government service vehicles therefore most were equipped with the basic options for just simple and affordable transportation. There were other Biscayne's offered with the big block 427 motors and factory 4-speed floor shift transmissions that were very powerful and quickly became an iconic classic car and body style favored at the race tracks throughout the country . They dubbed them Bisquick instead of Biscayne. We feel this car is certainly a great find that can be done to suite and restore to original or turn it into the hot rod you always wanted to build.
