1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Additional Info:
I have for sale my 1966 Chevelle Malibu Wagon. I originally bought the car as a project for myself because I really love this body style. However things happen and I have reluctantly decided to let it go to another chevy wagon lover. The car has all original running gear sheet metal and is overall in pretty good shape. If you look at all of the picture you will notice that I have highlighted the main body issues. The main areas that will need repair will be the interior floorpans from front to rear tailgate and the damage on the drivers side quarter panel. Other than that the body is in great condition. The car has a 283 v8 engine with a 2 speed powerglide transmission. We know for a fact that engine runs great we are in the process of testing the trans. This car has great potential to make someone a very rare and desirable classic chevy. Upon my inspection of the vehicle I have developed a list of all the good and bad that I have seen. I am not a mechanic or paint and body guy by any means but I would like for the next owner to be able to make an informed decision before making the investment.
First the bad
- Car will need all floor pans and patches in some places
- Will need replacement driver side rear quarter panel
- Will need replacement rear bumper
- Will need front windshield replaced
- Will need seat recovered
- Needs a complete interior
- Tailgate not opening properly
Now the good
- It’s a very hard to find body style
- All original drivetrain
- The car runs great
- All of the glass and trim pieces are there
- AC car
- Body is straight aside from rearend dent
- Staggered rally wheels with beauty rings and centerpieces
- Door are good and not rusted out
- Rockers are in good shape
- Roof is solid with no dents or dings
- All of the rods are on the roof for headliner replacement
Click on link below for a short video of it starting and running. Will post longer video later if it hasn't sold.

This car would be great as a Parent and child project, restomod with a LS swap, Restoration project for a car show, advertisement for a company, a gift for a classic car lover, someone who remembers these cars as a child, or for someone who just wants a cool looking ride. I had big plans but I must let her go. These cars are almost impossible to find nowadays especially for sale. Based in the exclusivity I feel that my price in fair considering it will be very hard to find another. I had the car inspected by a well known Classic Car restorer in my area and he gave the car an overall 7 out 10. He also estimated a complete restoration for well under 10k. A Chevelle Wagon completely restored can be worth between 30k- 60k or more depending on the quality of work. If you are interested please do not hesitate to ask questions or request more pictures. I am currently looking to receive cash only but would possibly entertain a trade for a 1969-1972 Chevelle or Camaro in good running condition. Price is also somewhat negotiable so shoot me you best offer. Thanks for visiting my post and good luck.
