1978 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:

Up for sale is a vintage 1978 Chevy Corvette, 5th Anniversary Edition. This car is a nice little daily driver that needs a few small things to make great. It has that "new car" smell due to the new interior.

I've put lots of hours and about $10,000 in restoring this beauty. See list below:

PROS:

California Car, O rust. Floorboards are solid.

No accidents

Removable T-Tops

Classic Stingray style with bubble back

Brand new Silver Pile Carpet kit (installed Jan. 2016)

All window gears, inges, oors, ere all oiled so everything works real smooth

seat tracks were cleaned, ainted, nd oiled

Seats and door panels were cleaned and restored with vinyl paint

Seats are the original leather

Body was sanded down and painted in a 2 stage Silver/Clear

Door jambs were also painted at the same time

Starts right up, o hesitation,

Drives well, reat pick up

Full Tune up

Oil and oil filter changed

Full Transmission service with 5 qts. of new fluid

New Transmission mount

New Water pump

Radiator was removed, leaned, nd repaired

Engine was power-washed and detailed/painted

Carburater professionally rebuilt and cleaned

All parking lights and headlights work

Headlights pop up and down with no problem

wipers work

Re-defogger goes on

Old style KENWOOD cassette stereo works

heater and blower work

Rear shade style cover rolls fine

Power windows go up and down

doors lock and open with key

Tilt and telescoping steering wheel

all emblems were removed, leaned and re-enameled

Vintage Chrome wire wheels give it a great classic look

BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires

Spare tire is included

Original blue/yellow CA plates

CONS:

AC is not working, nd I have not looked into it

Original seat belts are dirty

Dash has 2 tiny cracks, nd some cracking on the pass. side corner

Passenger window moves slower than the driver side

Passenger seat has a scratch in the center back

windshield has some wiper scratches near the side

If you look closely there are some small defects in the paint

door carpet parts were not replaced, ut cleaned only

driver side carpet pocket has hole

EXTRAS:

comes with original Jack and luggage straps

comes with 2 T-Top covers/vinyl

Comes with original owner's manual (partial) and Haynes Maintenance Book,

If your state requires a title in the seller's name (me), hen please don't bid. (unless of course you have someone here in CA to title it for you). These cars are bought at a local benefit sale where the proceeds go to good causes. Most cars come from affluent communities where the owner's buy a new vehicle and donate there "old" one for a tax write off. I've been buying cars at charity events for years and everyone makes out.
