Hello everyone!
I am the 2nd owner of this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. I'm not sure where to start this listing because I always thought I would keep this car forever, but I will parting away with it because I am going to medical school and need to be able to pay for it.
I purchased the car in August of 2016 after the death of my ex-girlfriend. She and I always talked about fixing up an old Camaro and making it our daily driver and working on it little by little as time went on, so I drove all the way to Iowa to look at it and make sure it was the car for me. The car originally came with a 327, a 4-speed Muncie transmission and torn bucket seats.
I soon purchased a powertrain: 5.7L LS1 engine and T56 transmission, from a 2004 Pontiac GTO which had been in a vehicle accident: major body damage. The vin on the engine and computer reads as follows: 6G2VX12G04L301784The miles on this powertrain were 65,154 at the time of the accident. The powertrain was shipped to Larry's Speed and Custom in Fort Worth Texas where they professionally installed the engine and meticulously prepared the engine and transmission so that it could become my daily driver. The car has never been on a dyno so I do not know how much horsepower the engine currently produces. What I do know is that this car is fast! It has a 6-speed transmission, don't let the 4-speed gear shift knob fool you.
The gauges were manufactured by Dakota Digitaland they had 541 miles when I purchased them the previous owner. At the moment the powertrain has 65,154 miles + 2,465 miles (1924 which i've put myself). The torn bucket seats were sold by me, and I reupholstered a bench seatfrom a 1967 Camaro becauseI thought it would look cooler in this car, and I was right. Over the past 2 years I have been driving it and working out the kinks of the car here and there. I am no longer able to afford keeping the car and driving it as much as I would like to, seeing as to how I will need to pay for medical school and won't be free to drive the car as much as it deserves. So to the new owner of this car I hope you get to enjoy it more than I was able to.The car runs and drives GREAT and I use it as a daily driver to and from school! I have never had trouble firing her up. It's a little noisy inside but I know you will love it. I will ship this car overseas and assist in that endeavor for a flat fee!
