Up for auction is my driver quality 1984 Chevrolet Blazer Silverado 4 x 4 . I recently purchased this example from a local gentleman who had owned it for about seven years, it was his daily driver. All the basics are functional, ice cold air conditioning, functional radio, all gauges/lights work as they should include in the windshield wipers. This blazer was repainted the original desert sand metallic, and came factory with a black hardtop. The paint is in pretty... good shape, it does have some blemishes which is why I consider it to be a driver, mainly a little bubbling on the lower rocker panel which I photographed (passenger side) The body is very solid, surprisingly pretty much rust free. There is a little bit of rust in the tailgate which I have photographed. The rear window is crank, and it is functional. Both doors glass are also crank and are functional. The bottom of the doors are very clean, no rot through. The passenger bottom lip has a little bit of surface rust as photographed. The door shut excellent, do not have to slam them. Undercarriage is in great shape, small patch was made on the passenger side front floor pan which I photographed. The frame is rust free, very dry. There are new shocks all the way around, new front brakes, and a newer 6 " suspension lift. It does have 20" fuel wheels mounted on 37" X 13.50R20 Toyo M/T open country tires which are in fair shape. There is a decent amount of tread left, but the tires do have dry rot which I have photographed. The interior is a little on the edgy side, upholstery is in nice condition and appears to be the original patterns. The door panels have their share of wear/paint flaking, the headliner needs to be installed as well as sunvisors which I do NOT have. The dash is cracked, which is why there is a dash pad. As I mentioned all the gauges work properly, the radio functions properly, and the air will freeze you out! It has a tilt steering wheel. You have to really make sure the gear selector is in park, it probably needs an adjustment as it sometimes will pop into reverse if not careful. The engine is a V-8, 305 and probably the original. It has an automatic transmission that shifts well. The truck drives pretty decent, I put about 30 miles on it and the only negative I have observed is the steering is a little sloppy as I'm sure it's the original steering box. It has quite a bit of steering wheel FreePlay. I had it up to about 70 mph on the interstate and it handles OK. I think it handles better at higher speeds than it does at say, 35 mph. It has dual exhaust that exits through the rear lower quarter panels. I have been completely honest about the condition of the blazer, it is a daily driver/driver quality example that looks fantastic. It obviously needs some work on the inside, to make it perfect. I wouldn't expect to fly in from California and drive it back comfortably, but if you are somewhat local I wouldn't hesitate driving it home. Florida residents must pay sales tax as I am a dealer.
