1970 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
Hello Everyon, This Auction is for a very rare pick up truck. Its a 1970 Chevrolet longhorn c20 pick up. I know everyone wants the shortbed 67 to 72 pickups. Those are some of most popular trucks now everyone wants. Too be honest I thought of making it into a shortbed pickup myself.Until I had people admiring the truck and telling me how rare they are. Upon my research I found out they made very few longhorn pickups and only for 4 years. In 1971 they only made 3,331 total with 5 engine choices, colors etc. Luckily this pick up was ordered with the 402 bigblock and airconditioning. The longhorn model was 1/2 foot longer than the longbed fleetside, wheelbase is 133.I have known about this truck for 20 years. Its my friends parents truck. They bought it new in sacramento ca. Then they later moved to santarosa ca where the truck stayed its whole life. His Dad used this truck for roofing 10 years, which is amazing because there are no dents. Except I did just put a tiny dent in drivers side rear quarter. This truck is all original, never painted or in any accidents. There is no real rust areas, it is solid. I just sell surface rust in areas or scratches in paint.Only has 111,384 miles. When a family member was driving it and wasn't aware radiator had leak so she blew a head gasket. So the original motor was rebuilt and put back into truck. That was at 102k miles so this engine only has 8 k miles on it. It was stored very carefully and protected well.I do have the receipt for the engine rebuild. Carburetor was just rebuilt because of rat problem from sitting.I replaced sparkplugs, new engine oil and new gastank strainer sock and new fuel. It runs really good for sitting so long. I can hear a exhaust leak from a bad gasket. I have driven the truck around the block or had it running in my driveway. I can see all the tires have cracks in the sidewalls and should be replaced before driving. They do have tread and do hold air but are old. I only drove it around the block a few times so they should at least be looked at first. This truck has been stored along time and hasn't been driven only started and ran occasionally.Bought new at lew Williams chev center sacramento ca, truck made at Fremont plant.Comes with some original documentation and tiny original pinkslip. This is a true 1 owner survivor pick up in every way. You will be listed as the second owner. So this is a special auction for someone who once had one and would like to recreate the memories.Or someone who likes rare classics that not many people have. Another possibility is someone appreciates a well kept original classic since new, all original with no rust or accidents and still has all original parts.Price is $12,000 but no buy it now. Its rare and in very good condition and shortbeds are going for crazy high prices so I think this is a good deal on this original Chevrolet classic. I do have it listed locally for more than $12k. This is very very rare classis car, maybe do a google search on it. I will be happy to answer all questions or am around to show the truck in person.Im careful about scammers and cons so don't even bother with your fake cashiers check from Nigeria.Firebird in picture must go.
