1969 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Additional Info:
Up for auction is our very original '69 K10 Pickup. This truck is lots of fun and very use-able just as it is, or would be a good candidate to restore.
It's only had a few owners since new and has always been well cared for and maintained. The last owner rebuilt the engine and owned the truck for many years. Since I have owned the truck, I have done lots of maintenance making it very dependable and reliable. I also had the seat totally rebuilt and recovered with a original style materials.
The overall condition of the cab and bed are very good. The rockers and cab corners were a little rusty, so they were cut out and new pieces were welded in, to perfection. It was done correctly and those parts have been primed. The doors do have a few small bubbles in the corners but very minor. The rest of the body is straight and solid (see the pics). The wood bed floor is partially rotten, but all there (easy and cheap to replace with a kit). All of the glass is very nice along with the original bright-work. The interior is clean and looks nice. The dash pad is new and the seat is restored, the rest is original. It even has the original glove box sticker for going into 4x4 and the build sheet is on the inside. The gauges work and look good.
Under the hood is the original 292 "high torque" 6 cyl. This engine was rebuilt and runs awesome! It has a header and makes great power, with no leaks or smoke. The transmission is smooth and quiet. The clutch is good but the throw-out bearing does make some noise when the clutch pedal is engaged. The power brakes are nice and smooth and the power steering makes it nice to drive. Newer tires with lots of tread on the original rims and hubcaps.
