1986 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
I am reluctantly selling my 1986 Chevy M1008 CUCV Pickup Truck. I have five vehicles and it is time to sell a couple of them. The truck was purchased from the US Government at Ft McCoy, WI. The truck was used as a command vehicle by an Army unit and it was in excellent shape when I got it. Here are the details:
- It is a 5/4 ton, very heavy duty truck

- Power Brakes
- Power Steering
- Manual windows
- Pintle hitch plus a Class III Receiver hitch
- US Government recovery shackles/tie down points on front and rear bumper
- US Government steel grill guard
- 24v plug on grill for jump starting other vehicles; note truck is 24v system

- “Black Out” lighting (allows to turn off all lights, including brake lights for night ops)
- “Black Out Drive Light” (very dim lights used on front and rear of the truck to allow for convoy operations or night ops with limited lighting to see where you are driving giving away your position)
- M16 Rifle Racks behind driver and passenger
- Manual 4x4 shifting on the floor
- Linex spray in bed liner
- Tie down eyebolts in truck bed
- Sliding rear window (Note: one broken window)

This has been a great, trouble-free truck. I have used it for hauling construction materials and a few hunting trips. Everything works as it should. There are a few dents, dings and scapes as one would imagine. One pane of the rear sliding window was knocked out when loading some 2x4s. The truck gets good fuel economy and can tow just about anything. It is geared for towing and using around town. The top speed is about 55 mph. I have taken it on some short runs on the highway and it works just fine at that speed. I have enjoyed owning this truck and I hope the next owner will too. I will make all reasonable efforts to assist the buyer with picking up the truck or having it shipped. There is no "Buy It Now" price or Reserve Price for the truck. Bidding starts at $1 and the high bidder will get the truck when the auction ends.
I am a retired US Military member and will give a 10% rebate to any buyer who is on active duty or is a retired member of the Armed Force. I support our troops!

At the request of a bidder, I have added some pics of the undercarriage. Everything is in good shape considering the vintage of the truck. There is some rust but it is in serviceable condition.
Also, there is a plug in heater to help with cold weather starts when it is below freezing. Thanks again for your interest.

There have been a few questions about how the discount works for US Military Members and Veterans. Any Active Duty or retired member of the Armed Forces will receive 10% of the winning bid price back as a rebate on the purchase. The rebateapplies to National Guard, Reserves, etc. If you serve or have served our country, then you get the rebate. For example, if you are the winning bidder at $3,000, then you would pay the full amount at the conclusion of the auction. At the time we sign the title, you will need to provide a copy of your DD 214 or other proof of service. Then I will give you $300, or 10%, of the purchase price back as a rebate and thank you for your service. I support our troops!
