1987 Chevrolet El Camino Additional Info:
This is a very unique posting. Up for auction/sale is your choice of a really sweet 1987 white El Camino plus it's identical brother, a 1987 grey El Camino that is my workhorse daily ride plus a lot of extra El Camino parts that by themselves are worth over $1k. Recent health problems has forced me to sell. You can bid on both vehicles and all the extra parts, or make an offer on just the white one by itself. I will not sell just the grey one by itself so please don't ask. Take a look at the following descriptions and and bid accordingly.
1987 White El Camino-One of the cleanest around. Zero rust and a fresh paint job. Look at the pictures I included when I replaced the carpet. The floor pans look like they just left the factory. No rust at all on the frame either. And fresh paint means three months ago and probably only 25 miles driven since. I thought I was going to keep this one so I spent an additional $300 to have the bed liner sprayed on. It has a really nice texture that adds a little extra grip and is also quite thick so it should be very durable. The exhaust system is brand new from the crossover back to the tailpipe including the catalytic converter. Expensive! Replaced headliner and carpet upper door panels, door seals both sides upper and lower, front grill, headlight bezels, battery, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap & rotor, brakes front/rear. I know I am forgetting some parts but you get the idea. You won't be spending several weekends doing the usual maintenance required after buying an old car. I have spent countless hours, days, weeks etc since February working on this car. Someone's going to get a good value regardless of the price. Notice the wheels and tires. I have 15's instead of 14 inch wheels and it really adds to the looks and the ride comfort. This vehicle drives beautifully. You cruise down the road or highway and the car tracks straight and true and stops without the common pull to the left or right. The one item that I can't fix myself is there is a small manifold leak on the passenger side. I intended to replace the gasket but as I stated health reasons prevent this. The car has all the factory lines and tubes that are also connected to the A/C system. The new owner can decide whether to keep this.
1987 Grey El Camino- my daily driver and workhorse. As I described it has a good size dent in the rear quarter but it has a nice foundation if you are a decent body man. In fact I went to Ikea two weeks ago in Philly and in less than ten minutes in the parking lot two separate dudes approached me and offered to fix the dent for $800 and $750. Like sharks in bloody water they arrive unsolicited so I offer this anecdote up for those people who may ask how much to fix the dent? I say just go to South Philly and find an empty parking lot. You'll soon get an answer and a willing body man! The sound system kicks butt with an amplifier and speakers custom mounted behind the front seat. The wheels are stock GM mags that came on so many G-Body vehicles. The tires however are like new. Probably less than 500 miles on all four so you will not be buying tires anytime soon!
Parts-I have an extra front fender, rear glass, window glass, 4 spare wheels and tires, assorted door parts, dash surround pieces, gauge assemblies, chrome body molding pieces plus more!
The way it works is hit the buy now button and take it all or make an offer on the white one only. Look at everything before you bid and ask questions accordingly. I always wanted an El Camino since I was a kid and I was really excited to complete the white one and enjoy it with my family. Unfortunately this won't happen for me but perhaps there is another El Camino enthusiast who will be interested in a real nice ride without having to find one and do all the work yourself. Even if you could find one this clean? I swear I looked at dozens of El Caminos before I bought the white one and I knew instantly that I had to buy it just because how solid it was. I included a picture of what it looked like when I purchased the vehicle to give a idea of how much time and money was spent. Thanks for looking and ask questions accordingly. I will do my best to answer them. Especially any requests to see the vehicles in person. I'm not working right now so I will be available most anytime. Please take note of my selling history and feedback score. I'm honest to a fault my friends tell me so all information provided is to the best of my ability considering the limitations E-Bay places on sellers these days. I would love to provide my cell phone number but the rules won't allow for it. In the meantime send me a message and I will provide the appropriate information so you can see the vehicles in person. Thanks for looking.
