1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS6 Auto. Convertible Additional Info:
Here is my 1970 Chevelle convertible LS6 auto. car up for sale. This was originally an LS5 car that the motor was shot when I acquired it in the mid 80,s. It has gone through a frame off restoration over the years and had everything either restored or replaced. It still retains its original CRV 12 bolt HD rear end and trans. The colors are what the car was born with including the cowl induction hood that works perfectly. The car was painted with the finest paint and clear coat available and it still looks great. The CRV motor is standard bore and has very low miles on it. Still retains its dimple rods, original pistons, heads, intake, exhaust manifolds, carb. is and automatic trans LS6 780 Holley carb that was sent out to Holley shop for complete restoration a few years back. It is date matched to the car. The car runs incredible and from low gear it smokes the tires all the way thru first gear so you have to let off or put slicks on it to bite. It’s fast. I never beat on it cause I really have a lot into it, time and money wise and don’t want to hurt my engine. The interior was a bench interior that I turned into a bucket with console interior because it’s just so much nicer. The color is correct. The wheels are the originals dated feb. 1970. The tires are Coker radials that copy the originals. The car starts right up and runs perfect. It is an LS6 so you may have to adjust rockers every few years. I hate to let it go but my rare corvette needs restoration so it has to go either here or next year at Mecum. I will answer all questions ASAP so just send thru ebay and I’ll get right on it. Thanks Dave R.
