1965 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Additional Info:
1965 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport GARAGE FIND, this car has been stashed away in a garage since 1996 and it is super solid! One year only body style, with these cool tail lights! 67k Miles! VERY SOLID CAR! This is a REAL Super Sport, REAL Muncie 4 speed car. Black on Black for the last 25+ years, originally Light Metallic Blue with Blue interior car. This car originally had a 300hp 327-4V from the factory, now has a 350-4V that runs good. Still has factory Muncie 4 speed with console and 12 bolt rear with Posi-Trac. Vintage 15x8 Corvette Rally wheels all around with matching full size spare. Factory AM/FM Radio with booklet! (RARE OPTION)
Just had 4 Brand New BF Goodrich radial T/A tires installed all around, 245s in front, 265s in rear give it a great stance. Brand New gas tank and master cylinder installed, changed fluids, did some exhaustwork on the duel exhaust, car runs and drives good. Motor runs nice and smooth, transmission shifts thru all gears nicely. All lights inside and out seem to work fine. Has power steering in place under hood, needs to be bolted to motor. I have driven this car around 20 miles since pulling it out of its 22+ year slumber earlier this year, It runs and drives good, however, I would trailer it home until you have a chance to go thru the car yourself and tag it for street use, just to be on the safe side. This car is extremely solid and original. Original body panels, original quarters, original trunk floor (no rust!), solid frame. This car is nearly rust free, it does have minor bubbling / spots, mainly on lower part of front fenders, overall very nice shape for a 54 year old car! Original interior panels and carpet still in place, factory seats have been redone and in nice shape. Very had to find 50+ year old unrestored cars this nice! Front suspension has been upgraded to Big Block springs, as previous owner was going to put a 396 or 427 in it! Air shocks in the rear. Bucket Seats, center console, factory tach, factory AM FM Radio in dash, with matching factory AM FM radio manual booklet in glove box.
There are extra parts that come with this car, including a brand new carpet kit, factory front disc brake setup, factory radiator fan shroud, Posi unit, ect. Includes original owners manual, GM Protecto-Plate, GM AM FM Radio booklet, factory keys (not copys), and decades worth of registrations and gas reciepts. This car was originally from Washington. Solid frame, solid trunk, no rot on either. This cars paint job shows its age, its a cool cruiser but really needs a nice paint job and cleaned up/ TLC to take it to the next level. Nice car to restore to show quality, or drive and enjoy it as-is.
It is very hard to find a car like this, in this day & age, in this condition. Most muscle cars, and 4 speeds at that, were rode hard and put away wet, and are not around anymore. The remaining cars have been bought up by classic car dealers that restore them and ask big $$$. This one was taken care of and stashed away from the world for the last 22+ years. This is not a clone, this is a real SS muncie 4 speed 65 Impala! Solid investment that will continue to appreciate in value.
I have a clean Missouri title in my name, in hand. Full set of original GM keys. Car is located in HOLT Missouri, which is about 25 minutes NE of Kansas City.
