1970 Chevrolet Camaro 1970 Camaro, rare one year only low back bucket seats Additional Info:
1970 Camaro - Project car.
Up for auction is a 1970 Camaro. This car has the rare, correct, one year only low back bucket seats with headrest, also tach in the dash and a console shift setup. Would be a great car to Z28/SS clone or make a green/white poster car 1970 Baldwin Motion Camaro clone (what I had intended to do). Or even make your own custom Camaro.
The previous owner had installed a 350/350 engine/trans from a late 70s Z28 Camaro. When we got the car it ran and drove, and the engine sounded great (exhaust only as far as the downpipe comes together), now the car has been sitting for a while and I was unable to get it to turn over....I'm pretty sure it's an electrical issue. The front suspension looks to have been refurbished, tie-rods, ball joints, sway bar bushings/links etc. all look new. Front power disc brakes, rear drums, 10 bolt rear end. Frame is solid with no apparent accidents and the body overall is solid (aftermarket sunroof), some small rust holes as shown in the pictures. Also, typical patch of rust behind the front wheels in the back bottom of the fenders, small pin holes in a few spots in the floor. Windshield is cracked, but the corners of the dash that usually rust are in very good condition (see pic).
We have a clear California Title. We prefer not to disclose our reserve. Zero feedback, excessive -ve feedback bidders are asked to contact us before bidding; otherwise those bids may not be accepted.
The car is sold as-is and as equipped. However, you are welcome to come see and/or have the car inspected before the end of the auction. Payment is due in full within seven days of the end of the auction. California buyers and all in-state sales are subject to sales tax, doc. & lic. fees. In California, all vehicles over ten years old are sold miles 'exempt'; the actutal miles on this vehicle are unknown.
