IT'S NOT A SECRET WHY THESE ZR1'S WERE CALLED "THE KING OF THE HILL" WHEN THEY CAME OUT IN 1990. THE ZR1 CORVETTES WERE DEVELOPED TO BE THE FASTEST PRODUCTION CAR MADE. THE 375HP ALUMINUM ENGINE WAS DESIGNED BY LOTUS ENGINEERING, AND HAD A 4 CAM/32 VALVE SET-UP. MANY PUBLICATIONS BACK IN THE DAY AUTHENTICATED LOW 4 SEC 0-60 TIMES WHICH WAS MADE EASY WITH THE HIGH RPM MOTOR DESIGN WITH A REDLINE AT 7100 RPMS. ALTHOUGHT THE ZR1 DONT LOOK MUCH DIFFERENT THEY ARE 3 INCHS WIDER THAN THE BODY OF THE STANDARD CORVETTES OF THIS ERA.

OVER THE 5 YEAR BUILD CYCLE (1990-1995) ON ZR1'S,THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 6939 BUILT IN NORTH AMERICA. A BIG PART OF THE LOW PRODUCTION NUMBERS FOR THESE CARS WAS THAT THE STICKER PRICE ON A ZR1 WAS OVER DOUBLE THE PRICE OF A REGULAR CORVETTE. Payments can be made one of two ways:

Paperwork accompanying vehicle

All of our vehicles come withfour pieces of paperwork required by the DMV to Title your new vehicle in your home State:

1. An invoice, including vehicle description, VIN #, your details and our details

2. A Canadian Title Document

3.Completed & Stamped US Customs Paperwork Form 7501(only if we ship)

4. Completed & Signed DOT HS-7 Form(only if we ship)

Border Crossings

All of our vehicles are sourced from Canada. We then store them just north of the border until they are sold. Once sold we take the vehicles across the border to Pembina, North Dakota for you to collect, or for your preferred shipper to collect for you.

The process of moving the vehicle across the borderto North Dakota is taken care of by us and our Customs Broker. There is a $500 additional fee for this service. Alternatively you are more than welcome to travel up to Winnipeg, Canada and collect the vehicle in person and take care of the importation yourself.

Additionally there is a 2.5% import tax on non domestic vehicle which will be collected by Homeland Security at the border which is payable by cash or card.

Obtaining your US Title

In order to obtain a US Title for your vehicle all that you will need to do istake thefour pieces of paperwork, listed above, to your local DMV office. The DMV are familiar with this process and it will come at no additional cost to you. The process is very straightforward and stress free when dealing with domestic vehicles over 25 years old.
