1965 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:

Thanks for viewing this exceptional highly desirable mid-year Corvette. This Corvette is nicely optioned with the 327/350 horsepower engine and 4 speed transmission. It has one respray in its original Silver Pearl code QQ on an accident free all GM body. Other options include soft-ray glass, factory AM/FM radio and a power antenna. The paint has exceptional gloss with only minor picks and a couple of small areas that have very very light "spider" cracks that are difficult to notice (see pics). The door gaps are superb which is critical on mid-year Coupes. The bumpers are very nice with only minor flaws existing on the underside of such. Importantly they are the original bumpers. The grill and surround are original as are the rocker panes, fuel filler, door handles and taillights. All of the glass is original, date coded and in excellent condition. The original block has been replaced so the numbers will not match. I am confident that most things are original to the engine compartment and the look is very correct. The 4 speed Muncie shifts with perfection and even has the correct shifter and linkage. The exhaust was new when I got it, but since then I have only used sparingly over the past 10 years....(4-5 times average per summer). The stainless-steel calipers were also new when I purchased it. The Corvette is very dependable and dialed in to be driven anywhere. The undercarriage is very nice with a superb frame. U-joints were also new. The interior is also a very nice condition. The patina is awesome. All of the gauges except the clock (when DID they work?) are original and work perfectly. The original AM/FM radio works and has a new speaker. An NCRS judge pointed that out to me, otherwise I would never have known. The wheels and tires are reproductions of the originals, but the knockoffs are worth around $800 each. The tires are period correct size. I know there are many Corvettes to choose from and one can easily spend $150K+ for a Concours 67 big block. If you are going to own one to drive and enjoy yet able to aggressively compete in a show then this is perfect. Anyone that has ever owned or has been around these cars will tell you that this is the most desirable setup and certainly the perfect color combination for the money. I bought this car as a retirement gift to me, figuring it would be a better "investment" than the wild Stock Market. I knew I wouldn't lose and I could drive my investment and enjoy it. This car has a great cover that is always on when stored. Lots of thumbs up from people on the road, and many even take photos as I am driving it. Thanks for looking and feel comfortable that you can bid to own this wonderful Corvette.
