Presented for your consideration.
1970 Chevrolet Corvette LS5 454/390 numbers matching Coupe. It is partially apart.
I purchased this from a friend in February this year. He owned it since 2008. The car had been in a heated warehouse since about 2006. Details are a bit cloudy before those dates. Here is what I know from what I have found. Purely speculation on my part.
1970 Corvette Coupe equipped with 454/390 LS5, Turbo 400 automatic transmission, Air Conditioning, Deluxe Interior, Tilt/Telescopic column, Power Steering, Power Brakes & Power Windows. Trim tag: Trim: 424 Saddle Leather, Paint: 993 Corvette Bronze, Date stamp on the tag is F04 June 4th 1970 build date.
It is a numbers matching car with the CGW suffix.
Honest car with many OEM parts with it like the original upper radiator hose 331876, original AC A212CW air cleaner element, original delivery vehicle warranty card compete with the Protect-O-Plate.
Original owners manual complete WITH the mail in card for the Corvette News Magazine and owner card. (FIRST edition January 1970) and the original dealer license plate frame. Shows just under 40,000 miles. Can't confirm that, however all things point to possibly being the original miles. Car comes with 2 tubs of the original parts that came off the car and some extras as well. 2 sets of bumpers that will need to be re chromed, a new carpet set and 2 sets of door panels, one set is the original and the other set is reproductions. The wiper door is intact, but not installed. Car had been painted years ago and partially wet sanded and partially buffed. There is some bumps, bruises & breaks from moving it. The worst one being the left rear as shown in the pictures. The original seats were lost, but I had a pair from a '72 that I put in it. I also cleaned the fuel tank & lines and installed stainless steel brakes. It does run well, but I not tried moving it as yet.
I have a pile of newspapers that parts were wrapped in from California dated 2006. I kept them and they will go with the car as well.
