. This is a 1979 Chevy Malibu Classic station wagon in bright Viper Red. The owner is a friend who asked me to list because his wife wants it gone. This wagon has a 267 V-8 engine with about 80K miles on it. The transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 350 with RV shift kit. Rear end has been rebuilt and has 3:42 gears. Engine has headers that go into dual exhaust with an x-pipe. Engine was changed over to a serpentine system. It is from a 1980 Chevy. The body is bright red accented with silver wheels and tinted glass. Front header panel is from a 1980 Malibu. The tires are 245X45X17's. The front bumper is painted silver and the rear bumper was rechromed with new taillight lenses. Wagon has power brakes with discs on front and aluminum drums on the rear. Previous owner installed a high ratio Pontiac Formula Firebird steering box, 2-inch drop Moog springs in front, new suspension bushings, a larger diameter front sway bar, QA1 springs in rear with new control arms and rear sway bar. Interior is red and the seat covers have been replaced. The steering wheel is billet and the car has Dakota Digital gauges that light up red. The brand new Sony stereo is AM/FM/CD. The car needs a couple of things done - the key lock cylinder in the column should be replaced as it can be difficult to get it to work. The gas gauge doesn't work. The glove box needs a new stop cable. Please note the previous owner removed the shoulder harnesses but the front seat has seat belts. The car has a State of Virginia inspection sticker valid until the end of August. Email me or call 804-five nine zero-0718 with any questions or if you'd like to set up a time to see it. This would be a great wagon to drop in a larger engine and have some fun! Wagon looks great in bright red Viper Red paint accented with the tinted windows and silver wheels. This wagon is ready to cruise - will carry four people and plenty of gear in the back. It has a roof rack. Tires are 245X45X17's - wheels are 7 and 8 inches wide. Car has dual exhaust that exits behind the rear wheels. Pipes are 2.5 inches in diameter. Previous owner painted the front bumper silver. Both the back glass and tailgate open and close properly. The interior has red vinyl upholstery Car is clean Front seat Dash is in nice shape Passenger side of the front seat Took this photo at an angle to avoid glare - under the speedometer is the transmission indicator that will read park, reverse, neutral, drive. The gas gauge doesn't work. Owner thinks the tank should be removed and checked.
