1947 Chevrolet Utility 2-ton Firetruck Additional Info:
We don't know a ton about this truck, because we obtained it as part of a barter. We'll do our best to describe it and we're happy to answer any questions that we can. It's titled as a '47, but the VIN "PW" code suggests it's a Late Series 1946 2-ton utility, and I believe the "21" means it came from the Janesville Assembly Plant (Janesville, WI, opened in 1919, it was the oldest operating GM plant when it was largely idled in December 2008, and ceased all remaining production on April 23, 2009.) Please do come check it out in person. And please note, while it's a runner, it needs brake work before being able to be driven away. Please note milage is unknown. Soundstorm amp is mounted under seat, and Jensen is in glove box; sound system will likely need to be freshened up, but it's a good start.
