1968 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
Offered is my '68 Corvette, first year of the C3's, 300 HP, 3 speed turbo-hydramatic, positraction with POWER STEERINGand power brakes. The nicest driving '68 you will ever find. Delivered on June 7, 1968, it has been kept very original and has remained within 100 miles of the selling New Car dealership (Mallon Chevrolet in Norwich, Ct.). Previously owned by 3 people who all knew each other, all car lovers, and all enthusiasts. It is a numbers matching car with original drive train and the engine compartment has been left unpainted to keep originality. Everything works on the car as it should, wiper door, headlight doors, door ajar light, emergency brake warning light, original clock, wiper interlock system (late '68 only), every light, even the troublesome fiber optic system and the windshield washer. The engine sounds great, trans shifts fine, starts easily, accelerates fine (Quadrajet carb works perfect) and stops correctly. All 4 calipers have been rebuilt and the system flushed. All gauges work properly, original AM-FM works (I do have the antenna), lighter never used, and on and on. Ready to enjoy or show. The hardtop is perfect, has a Dealer installed luggage rack, seat covers and rugs are new and the paint is base coat/clearcoat. You will not be disappointed with this car. Very well documented but I have not dropped the gas tank to look for the build sheet but I'll bet it's there. Has all it's original glass and original keys. The original convertible top was just replaced with a correct Al Knoch along with all associated weatherstripping. The seat belts are dated, the jack is there under the rear compartment with the original decals still on the lid and the spare tire is one of the original tires! The underside is very nice with no rust anywhere. No fluid leaks to be found.
