GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1970 Chevrolet Convertible for your consideration. This Corvette is powered by a 350ci V8 that is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The engine starts up right away and runs smoothly. The 4-speed transmission goes through the gears with a satisfying click. This example has not been "souped up" and maintains a high level of originality. The exterior is finished in Donnybrooke Green, the paint... is complemented nicely by the black convertible top. The chrome wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT + 4 tires that are in good condition. These classic Stingray Corvettes have some of the most beautiful styling of any car to be produced and here is the opportunity for you to own your own example. The interior features black vinyl seats that pair with the exterior nicely. There is minimal wear on the interior and there aren't any gaudy aftermarket things that have been added. This example comes with the original Protecto-Plate and other original documents. The C3 generation of Corvettes ran from 1968 to 1982 but had some various changes throughout the run of the Stingray. With gov't restrictions killing off muscle cars the stingray had to transition to more of a cruiser. A Chevrolet advertisement headlined: "We gave it radials, a quieter ride, guard beams, and a nose job." Improvements to body mounts and interior did improve the Corvette's ride and interior noise was reduced by 40%. Today, C3 Corvettes are some of the best buys in the classic automobile world. These cars were incredibly popular and provide a great ride with plenty of available spare parts. Get behind the wheel and have some classic fun in a Stingray!
