Great opportunity to finish this matching numbers, big block convertible project car. There were only 7,121 Corvette Convertiblesmanufactured in 1971 (2,269 Ontario Orange) and even fewer with the LS5 / 4 speed transmission option. This was a registered, driving car when purchased in '04 and always stored in a dry garage. Previous owner painted the exterior red, installed a red interior and 1974 Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor. Front clip and rear right fender were removed at the start of the body work due to poor repairs to previously damaged fiberglass. Started restoration in '05 with the following items installed/completed:-Solid original frame sandblasted, etch primed and repainted with correct factory black paint-Suspension rebuilt including rear leaf spring, upper and lower A-Arms, front end ball joints, tie rod ends, bushings, etc.-New stainless brake and fuel lines with correct original bolts/fasteners-New correct year gas tank-Re-built steering box byParagon-Rochester Quadrajet 4 Barrel Carburetor (from '74 Corvette-7044242 0994)-Correct ignition parts including braided spark plug wires-Original rebuilt motor repainted correct Corvette orange, reinstalled with new motor mounts.T0423CPH engine. 3963512 block. 3955287 intake.-Original rebuilt M-21 4 speed transmission-recently rebuilt rear differential-Chrome valve covers (have originals)
