This is a very original 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS that is both numbers matching and a documented survivor. The original Protect-O-Plate and the IBM punch card found under the seat (not in the best of condition but it was recovered), and full owner history is included. I purchased the vehicle about 3 years ago and have been doing a mild frame on restoration since my procurement. By all inspections, all of the original sheet metal is in place and it is virtually rust free. If you happen to attend Carlisle's Chevrolet National 50th Celebration event in PA this weekend the vehicle will be on display inside building T. It has been selected as 1 of approximately 30 vehicles to achieve this honor for this event. The vehicle can be seen at the show, but it will not be available for test drives or cold starts during the event. This is your opportunity to secure a once in a lifetime TRUE survivor classic from the muscle car era. . .
Overall Condition - the paint has "some" small/minor chips/nicks (touched up) from being driven but NO rust bubbles or runs, a very nice high end driver quality paint job. The interior is virtually new, seats, dash, headliner, all gauges, lights, & the OEM refurbished radio work as they should. It is my opinion that at some point the engine has been opened up and a mild cam was installed. I have no documentation to verify this BUT when you hear it run I think you will agree. Most components are new vintage and date coded correct pieces from the power brake booster, professionally rebuilt carb, all new stainless steel brake lines, new stainless steel fuel lines & gas tank, and poly body bushings. I upgraded the old points distributor (included with this sale) to an electronic ignition setup that is OEM in appearance. The car is very nicely detailed and painted underneath.

Brief History –
As per the Protect-O-Plate, RLG from Frankford, Delaware purchased the vehicle new on Thursday July 3rd in 1969 from Theo Burton Chevrolet in Georgetown, Delaware (now First State Chevrolet). “G”, as many of his friends called him, attended Accomack County public school, and then went to serve his country in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, RLG moved to Delaware where he purchased his Chevelle. Perhaps this Vietnam Veteran selected the RED (side wall tires), WHITE (side strip), and BLUE (exterior paint) scheme as a tribute to America? Furthering his education and dreams, RLG became a master barber and opened his own shop in Frankford, Delaware where he resided until his passing on Sunday January 18th 2015. Following his death, his wife sold the Chevelle to a local car collector and dealership (Daisey’s Used Cars in Georgetown, Delaware). Shortly after its acquisition, the dealership sold the Chevelle to another car collector and dealership (Delmarva RVs in Milford Delaware). The Chevelle was traded to the current car collector/owner on February 23, 2016. The previous and the current owners have confirmed the complete numbers matching drive train and authenticate both the history of the vehicle and that the physical components on the vehicle today are indeed dated coded and appear to be OEM. Following RLG’s passing, the vehicle has undergone a mild frame on restoration to freshen it up to today’s current condition. Brakes were completely gone through & all new stainless steel brake & fuel lines & stainless steel fuel tank were installed. It is believed the vehicle was repainted in the ‘90s at some point. All original sheet metal is still in place and there is no evidence of any accident history. A very true, correct, and original piece of history from 1969!
