1967 Chevrolet Corvair Additional Info:

I have a 1967 Corvair for sale. Car has the original 110 hp numbers matching engine and 4 speed manual transmission. This car was purchased from the original owner in 1972 by a close friend that knew the car since new in 1967. This car was the daily driver for the 2nd owner from 1972 till 2000 when it was parked due to brake problems. Car was stored under carport till I purchased in 2018.
Work I have performed; Replaced tires with new. Replaced all 4 brake wheel cylinders & mounting bolts with new. Replaced R&L rear metal brake lines with new. Replaced brake master cylinder with new. Replaced rear brake adjusters with new. New front wheel bearing seals. Front and rear brake hardware kits. New clutch and brake pedal pads. Rebuilt both carbs with new parts as needed including new throttle shaft return springs & vacuum choke pull offs. Reinstalled carbs with new gaskets and thick insulators. Flushed fuel tank and lines and installed new fuel pump. Installed 4ea new wheel chrome trim rings. Installed new spark plugs, wires and points. Changed oil and filter.
Car includes a matching mag wheel spare tire. The carpet was rotten so I removed it so the floorboards could be seen.
I have driven the car a total of 37 miles since repairs and seems to run, drive and stop good. Car is not registered or inspected. I do have clear Texas title in my name.
Car is rare by production numbers, very few were built in the final years 67, 68 & 1969. FYI, 1967 was the 1st year for the dual line brake master cylinder, a very nice upgrade to have over the earlier models.
Front trunk floor pan is solid with no rust holes, just a dirty mat and minor surface rust.
This is a solid car and one of the most rust free unrestored corvairs you will find thanks to being under cover for the last 18+ years.
I have owned several Corvairs and always wanted a hard to find 1967 model or later so I jumped on this one when it became available last year. I hate to sell but I have 2 other major car projects ahead of it and it will be years before I can get back to it so it is time to let it go.

Gas gauge does not work. Car runs and drives but I don't have enough experience with it to say you could drive it home. Best to bring a trailer or ship.
I have included many pics, last 4 pics show where it was parked for 18 years covered in dust and dirt. This Corvair qualifies as a true unmolested original barn find!
