1966 Chevrolet Nova SS L79 4 Speed Additional Info:
1966 Chevrolet Nova SS L79, 4 speed, 327 350hp. this NovaSS has been in my family for years and I will list everything I know about it, I DO NOT have the original build sheet to prove it is a true L79 however it has the right parts and my brother is certain it was an original L79, I am selling it as a real nice 1966 SS Nova and the price will reflect that I do not have the build sheet, the engine and Muncie 4 speed were overhauled about a year ago and it has only been driven to car shows and occasional Sunday drives, I do not know if the engine is original to the car but it very well may be, when overhauled many of the parts were original NOS GMreplacement including the 350hp camshaft, thecaronly had about 58000 miles so the engine was not worn out, the body is straight and the paint looks nice but is older and a little faded and it has a few scratches here and thereand a few small chips but isgood for a driver and local car shows, the only rust spots I can find are in the trunk on the sides of the trunk floor where the original seal must have leaked down as the rest of the trunk and floor pansetc look solid and clean, we DO NOT salt our roads in Oregon. the glass and electricalare very nice and work well ( dome lightinop at this time) the interior shows well and smells like a nova should and has not been smoked in, the stereo is newer with Ipodusb hook up, four speakers and an amplifier in the trunk, the headliner and back seat appear to be original andshow some wear. the car runs and drivesnice with power steering and there are no noises anywhere.I do believe the 12 bolt posi may be original to the car and it has lower gears(3.73 or 4.10) not sure, the engine is an early production L79 #3790721, front pad #TO408ZI, date code J12 5, heads are 2.02 valve camel hump 462 casting, it has a recent new drive line, windshield, seals, door panels, carpet, etc.andthe originalrare woodgrain steering wheel that is in Excellent condition, it does have subframe connectors and aftermarket A arms for drivability and it drives very nice down the road with no vibrations.this Nova is 50 years oldand is in good condition for its age.I have a low reserve and will not reveal it before it is met, I do reserve the right to end the auction early,Low score (less than 10 feedback) or negative bidders MUST contact me before bidding or your bid will be removed! I will sell to buyers in the USA only. I hate to sell it but I have two boys in collage so I have to sell a few of my cars. Clean, clear Oregon title in my name.
