1988 Chevrolet Blazer Additional Info:

1988 Chevrolet Blazer Silverado 5.7liter 350, Auto trans, 4X4
Hello, I am selling my 1988 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. I have owned the vehicle for about 4 months and did quite a bit of work to it to get it how it looks now. It's a great running vehicle that looks very nice and is rust free. It's not a show car by any means, but it presents itself rather nice and would make a great daily driver or weekend warrior.
Features:
-350 5.7liter gas engine (runs great, no smoke, no leaks)
-Automatic transmission (shifts great)
-4X4
-recent 6" ProComp lift kit
-35" BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires (no spare) on aluminum rims
-Silverado package
-Pioneer CD stereo with USB port. New 6x9 speakers in rear, new speakers in the dash as well.
-New period correct KC lights (mounted, but not wired - harness is included)
Interior:
I went through the complete interior and refreshed a bit and added the following:
-New carpet
-New sound deadening mat material to the front cab portion
-Repainted the seat mounts
-New dash cover
-New dash bezel
-New headliner
-Steam cleaned all the interior
-New side rear panels with 6x9 stereo speakers. The panels I made myself.
-All dash and interior lights replaced with brighter LED bulbs
-No rips or tears in seats
-Please note a previous owner must have had a double-din stereo installed and hacked up a little of the metal dash. It's a very small section that is noticeable to the right of the stereo.
Engine:
-350 8 Cylinder gas engine. Runs great with no known issues. Does not smoke or leak. Previous owner said the throttle body ran a little rich during Utah's strict emissions test, but he got it to pass. I have not tested the car.
-A/C is not working (not kicking on, I assume it needs refrigerant)
-I have no knowledge whether or not the engine has been rebuilt or not. Seems to run strong.
Trans:
-Automatic trans with column shift. Shifts and drives fine.
Exterior:
-The "gray" sections I recently repainted. I'm no pro, but it looks decent. Also, I painted the black on the lower portions. The passenger side fender was replaced one time and had poor paint, so I repainted that as well. The upper black areas and hood was polished.
-New chrome trim on the sides
-Fender trim reconditioned
-New grille and headlights (due to old grille being faded and ugly).
-Chrome front bumper has some scrapes on the drivers side (see pic). Rear bumper has slight dent as well (see pic).
-Body is rust free and in great condition.
-New taillights with LED bulbs all around
-I also have new windshield chrome trim that has not been installed I will include
Glass:
-All glass is good with no cracks. Rear window rolls down (via power switch inside).
-Front doors roll down fine, but sometimes are slow (famous problem with these blazers)
Undercarriage:
-Undercarriage looks great. I did a little bit of touch up paint here and there, but the undercarriage is in very good condition with no rust.
What it needs:
-As I pointed out, the front bumper has scrapes on the drivers side
-Rear bumper has a slight dent
-A/C doesn't work (assume it needs a charge)
-Previous owner told me I should consider lengthening the front driveline if I was going to four-wheel the vehicle, it's about at it's max with the lift
-There are a few touched up paint chips on the front of the hood, you can really only spot them when up close.
SUMMARY:
It's a great looking rig that runs out real good. The K5 Blazers are increasing in value and popularity. It's not a show car by any means, but it's a good solid vehicle that shows real sharp and runs great. Interior is amazing and smells new. With a little bit more of effort, I think it could be a show car. I have it advertised locally and had a few people look at and were really impressed with it. A clean Utah title in my possession (in the previous owners name as I have not registered it).
Conditions of sale/payment:
Cash or certified funds only. No personal checks. Vehicle will not be released to any shipper prior to funds clearing. I welcome an in-person sale but if you need to ship it, I can assist with bringing it to a local shipping hub (tow yard) with no problem. As with any used vehicle, no warranties are implied. Per Utah verbiage, vehicle is sold "as is, in used condition. A $500.00 deposit will be required within 24 hours of end of auction (Paypal ok for deposit). Remaining amount to be paid with 6 days after that (no Paypal unless buyer wishes to pay the Paypal fees). Vehicle is listed locally, I retain the right to end the auction early if it sells locally.
Thank you.
