We are the 3rd owners; the original family owned the car for over 40 years and spent much of its time in Arizona. The features that identify this car as an L30/M20 are the correct coded 12 bolt rear end, multi-leaf springs, rear proportioning valve, and the speedometer cable exiting the firewall on the left side of the steering column to the Saginaw 4 speed. It is a non-matching numbers car as the engine was replaced with a 1970 4-bolt main 350 Goodwrench crate motor and the Saginaw trans is dated early 70's. I've driven it on a few 500 mile trips to Georgia and it drives great.
Factory correct Rallye green (J-code), but needs a repaint to be show quality. Standard black interior with bucket seats.
Factory options:
Ø 327 engine
4-speed Saginaw transmission
12 bolt rear end with multi-leaf springs
Rear brake proportioning valve
Floor console with gage pack (Ammeter is disconnected)
5K/7K tic-toc tach
4-speaker sound system (rare option)
Tinted glass
Deluxe rear bumper guards (included but not shown in pictures)
15x6 Rally wheels and new tires. Rebuilt front suspension, new body bushings, new weather stripping, new windshield. Car is very solid and straight. Have a factory flat hood for the car since the SS hood currently installed is not correct.
AM radio, reverse light switch, and courtesy lights are not connected. Temp gauge isn't functional and clock runs slow. Fly in and drive it home! Clear NC title in hand. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is also for sale locally. Absolutely nothing to hide, so if you have a question or need a picture, just ask. Short videos can be emailed if you include your email address.
These three items will be available for winning bidder to purchase separately if they choose:
1) Original '68 A.I.R injection system that has been refinished. These smog systems were standard on all 4-speed cars this year.
2) Freshly rebuilt Muncie M20.
3) Freshly bored 327 L30 1968 block - casting number (3914660), freshly turned large journal cast crank, complete rebuild kit with hypereutectic pistons, and 1.94/1.50 double hump heads.
