This example showcases an unusual original tri-color combination of Frost Green exterior (code 59), Dark Green vinyl top (code S) and Parchment - Off White bucket seats (code 859). Be sure to play our video of this '69 Impala cruising around. This car handles and rides excellent with no mysterious rattles, shakes, shimmies or pulling. I'm not much of an emailer, so please feel free to call me with any questions or to set up a time to see here in Dallas, Texas (214)770-0437 Bobby. VIDEO OF THIS IMPALA COUPE IN ACTION BELOW VIDEO LINK OF THIS 396 IMPALA IN ACTION https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebrsGxAAC0M To paint or not to paint?? Wherever I drive it, everyone seems to have an opinion. "Don't change a thing." or "When are you going to paint it?" I think it really has a mysterious, survivor look to it like it is. Plenty of patina. Plus you can actually enjoy driving it. This 1969 Impala Formal Top Custom Coupe was assembled in Arlington, Texas & sold new at Steakley Chevrolet here in Dallas. Acquired from the second owner who purchased it through his neighbor's estate. This car shows a great patina to it along with an incredible original dark green vinyl Formal top with no bubbling underneath or signs of corrosion. The original Soft-Ray tinted glass is in beautiful condition, free of any scratches or nicks. The windows roll up easily and align perfectly with each other. The doors click open and thud shut perfectly. This is a tight car with no squeaks or rattles when you drive it, 30mph or 75mph. Recent brake and front end work include replaced control arm bushings, strut rod bushings, sway bar links, shocks, etc. Consequently, this Impala rides and drives excellent with great handling for Chevrolet's full-sized '69 Impala Coupe. Under the hood is the factory-optioned torque-rich (400 ft-lbs) 396 2bbl. V8 engine. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support sheetmetal is in excellent condition. The trim identification plate is also intact and in great shape. This is a factory air conditioning car, the compressor is missing. The cooling system features a recent 4 row radiator - always runs cool - Recent major tune up and HEI distributor installed (modern ignition) Open the doors to 1969. The aftermarket temperature gauge works but the older tachometer does not, but it looks cool. All of the warning lights function properly. The annoying "key in ignition" buzzer still functions. She always starts right up! The choke engages properly. This really is a great driving car. The original parchment interior shows some seam separation and general age on the seat bottom mostly, see photos. Also the AM radio is finicky. The original shifter assembly has some slop in the shifter linkage, probably a worn out bushing/grommet. There is a 3 inch tear in the headliner by the dome lamp. Most of these cars were ordered with dark green vinyl interior when you opted for a Frost Green exterior. Evidently the man at Steakley Chevrolet who bought this car new here in Dallas, Texas was a discerning gentleman, a man of taste and character, a Chevrolet Impala man. There is a small rust area from moisture trap in lower right quarter panel behind the one right rear wheel, photographed above. The undercarriage is in excellent condition. Note the solid and straight original frame and floor pans along with the stout TH400 automatic transmission, 12-bolt rear end. Again, the front end has had a host of recent work performed including control arm bushings, strut rod bushings, sway bar links, shocks, etc. The classic 15x8 Rally Wheels wear radials front (225/70R15) to back (275/60R15). The trunk is solid and complete with the spare tire/wheel and jacking equipment. Check out uship.com for reasonable shipping, and southwest.com for flights into Dallas Love Field.
