1964 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
1964 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe. Car is highly optioned for a 1964 with power steering power brakes power windows Factory air conditioning and tinted glass. Previous owner said miles on car are suppose to be correct at 24k and it is documented as actual on the title so there you have it take it for what it is.. I can tell you for a 55 year old car it's held up pretty well and the original interior is also very nice for its age and has held up remarkably well. Both doors fit excellent and close with one finger. All this tells me the car was taken care of all of its life it's not easy finding one of these cars that hasn't had the front end knocked off of it panels replaced etc. The seams and gaps on this car are very nice and you only get that with a nice original car or one that's had a high-dollar restoration. One cool thing is the paint has gotten thinner over the years and you can still see the bonding strips all the way around the car. As they say they are only original once and I have owned and driven many rotisserie Corvettes that don't drive as nice as this car. Even for a 64 this car drives incredibly smooth everything works correctly even the clock. The power brakes feel like power disc brakes and work exceptionally well. Does have an after-market radio but I have the original. Car still retains its original paint with only one minor blend on the right front fender where previous owner installed a larger than stock front tire and when the wheel was cut all the way to the right cracked the lip...very minor. It was properly fixed in blended back in the day and the rest of the paint is original. I had several Corvette experts look at the car as well and all say definitely original. Unfortunately the original engine is long gone and car is powered by 300hp 350 which has an Edelbrock intake and carburetor otherwise stock. AC works but could use a charge. For driveability the original Powerglide was replaced with a turbo 350 which gives the car much better low end performance and works very nicely with this combination. Car is available with Factory hubcaps and newer radials or 17 inch American Racing Torque Thrusts which are new as well. If you want both sets please contact me and we can work something out. Frame and underside of the car is very solid car is very dry and has always been garage kept. Headlights open and close nice very nice as well. The car obviously could use a paint job if you're looking for nice new shiny paint not for you. This car is more of a survivor and that's why I bought it and I like it just the way it is and wouldn't touch a thing as I said they're only original once. I wouldn't be afraid to drive the car anywhere I have been driving the car quite a bit lately since weather has been good and like I said earlier the car is truly a pleasure to drive very solid no rattles or squeaks. Any questions call 443-398-7271 I do my best to try to describe a vehicle to the best of my ability. I welcome inspections anytime come see and drive for yourself nothing to hide here. Delivery is possible up to 250 miles please call for a quote may travel even further if the price is right. No zero feedback bidders please and I reserve the right to in this auction at any time. Please have your finances intact before you bid and remember if the reserve is off and you push the button and bid you are entering into an agreement to buy this car not come and look at it and decide you don't want it... Let's get that very clear. So if you need to look at the car before buying I suggest you come look at it or send a qualified third-party. Unfortunately some people on here have ruined it for others and don't follow through with transactions never show up etc. Just trying to weed those people out. Again if you have any questions please call and I will be glad to answer any you may have. I can also do a video for serious buyers just let me know. Thanks and good luck !
