I am offering my truck I call "ELMER" He started as a 1958 1/2 ton 3100 in really good condition and has been totally rebuilt and modernized into an ABSOLUTELY Beautiful Black Big back window single headlight "1957 style" SHOW and GO truck.
ELMER is named after his builder and has gone through a complete transformation starting with a brand new full back panel from door to door with all new glass throughout. It has new front fenders for a single light style and all new chrome grille, bumpers, handles and trim. He has a near perfect wet black paint job professionally done by a very reputable show car paint/body shop
The powerplant is a 6.0L LS V8 and overdrive automatic from a 2010 Chevy truck with 30,000 miles on it. Cold air kit and Vintage A/C fill out the engine bay impressively. He has very nice sounding dual magnaflow exhaust system and 3:55 posi and boy will he scoot if you want him too. Very nice cruiser for those slow romantic drives with the honey and can still keep up with the big boys at the local rallys. No issues with overheating, stalling, hesitation, or starting with this LS setup.
Interior is 2010 chevy Silverado bucket seats totally redone in bright red leather. Matching door panels and armrest in red leather too. He also has a matching mini center console with 2 place cup holder. Dash gauges are Dakota Digital and looks perfect for the truck. Chrome Tilt column and custom steering wheel also red wrapped outer ring. Power windows work flawlessly. Vintage A/C is ICE COLD for those hot days, and great heat and defroster for the cool ones. Carpet under rubber mat very nice. Modern ALPINE radio and speakers sound great too.
Elmer also has very desireable custom wheels and tires that really compliment his look, giving him that modern muscle yet nostalgic look. His bed is beautifully done with wood and tastefully coated sides with Rhinoliner. He even has a Black Diamond plated locking toolbox to carry items in so they wont scratch bed or maybe even some tools to help repair your friends lesser quality builds when they break down on the cruises. Even a tow strap is possible because Elmer even has a tow hitch and yes its frame mounted and very capable. Both 4 and 7 pin electric trailer wiring.
Elmer will look great to all your compitition to as you pass them because his tailgate is smoothened out and he wears mi-year corvette dual taillights in the lower valance with vertical bumperetts as rear bumper in between them. Very classy.
Elmer is a very well built and very reliable driver. He was built with no budget in mind and no corners were cut. I know because the man that built him is a retired machinist and owned his own shop for years. His name is Elmer and he is a profectionist. He has built many other LS conversions so it was not his first. I was so impressed with it how it drove I bought it, but now I have so many project going and he has to go.
