1967 Camaro SS 350 matching numbers, restored in 2016. Two owner car. Original matching numbers 350 rebuilt in 2015 at 71000 miles. Car now has 72000 miles. Correct original color Royal Plum.
Correct 4P car, true Camaro SS 350, with only a few options to include tinted windows (rare at the time) and still all original glass. 12-bolt rear. Deluxe interior option, seats were recovered but seat frame, springs and cushions all original. Original 4-speed Muncie M20 manual transmission. Rear bumper guard and deluxe seat belt options, and that's it. No power steering, no power brakes, no AC, no power anything or anything that added unneeded weight.
New carpeting but the rest of the interior is original or just reconditioned. Steering wheel is original but reconditioned (it would have cost less to buy a new one). Correct and rare to find Royal Plum paint, wet sanded to a high gloss ($7000-9000 paint job) with just enough overspray to look factory original. All rubber and bushing replaced during restore, rebuilt transmission, new GM clutch, new brake lines, new fuel lines, new shocks, new control arms and front end realigned, re-core original radiator, original exhaust manifold, rest of the exhaust is a 2.5" exhaust which is larger than original and it definitely sounds like it. New factory correct seat belts, since 50 year old seat belts won't save your life. New battery March 2019 with classic battery topper. The alignment is so straight on this car that travelling 70 mph on interstate feels like a modern car. Of course, the lack of power anything and lots of HP always makes driving this car exciting. Carburetor rebuilt and it starts the car every time. Original tail lights and original running lights. Original trunk and floor pan, very little rust ever on the car, as most of the time the original owner kept it in a garage or under a car cover. Most everything about this car is correct for a 1967 Camaro, with exception of the Z-28 rally rims, chrome exhaust extensions, (like the 1969 Camaro) and rear spoiler, which were typical day 2 options.
Over $40,000 invested in this car, restored and maintained as much originality as possible. But now many changes in my life have left me unable to truly appreciate this car. So, it’s time to sell and it’s selling locally for $38,500. Reserve set reasonably for a matching numbers true Camaro SS. There's a lot of Camaros on eBay, but only a few are true Camaro SS and even fewer are numbers matching.
Also included is an almost new custom car cover from California Car Covers that’s the thickest model available. A new replacement headliner is also included. The original one is still in there but has some areas where the stitching is loose. Sun visors are original. Since this is the deluxe interior it also has the original chrome trim along the top of the side windows. The seat belts are new and correct deluxe GM seat-belts for a 1967 Camaro. Most of the originals are included but they’re 50+ years old and not safe to use anymore. The chrome around the windows, the vent windows, and the windshield wipers arms are all original. They are not perfect but definitely look very good. The dash and instruments are original. The interior lights are original but dim, the exterior lighting works fine. The spare tire is Coker BFGoodrich vintage blackwall tire 7.35-14. Rally rims, rings and center hubs are correct for 1967 and in great shape, tires are 205/70R14 front and 235/60R15 rear. The paint is still in excellent condition for a 3-year-old paint job, there is a small door ding on the left rear quarter shown in a picture.
This car starts every time, runs smooth and gets about 15 MPG, you could buy it and drive across country.
