1956 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:

Ground-up build completed in 2014. Original frame front to rear, Mustang IFS with 2" dropped spindles, TCI Rear 4-link suspension, SBC 350 bored .30 over for a 355 - built by Gordon's Engine and Machine Shop out of Denison, TX, 350C Automatic Transmission - built by Hammond Transmission out of Murchison, TX (overdrive is switch operated). Griffin Aluminum Radiator with electric fan and shroud. Edelbrock High-Flow Aluminum Water Pump. Exhaust is by Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. A nice rumble... Chrome CPP Tilt Steering Column, Autometer gauges in a ball-milled polished Billet dash insert, Dash has not been cut up... The radio-delete plate fills the radio opening. New glass, vent window assemblies and rubber were installed. The cab as well as the frame was media blasted and reworked. The underside of the cab/firewall, inner fenders, backsides of fenders were coated in WURTH Stoneguard to deaden road noise/protect from moisture and rocks which can cause "spider cracks" in the paint. New cab corners (inners and outers), New Rockers, New lower door bodies and outer/lower skins, New Lower A-Pillars, New floor from the front seat riser up to the firewall (Absolute Sheet Metal), No limits tilt-hood kit, 17x7s American Racing Anthracite Torque Thrust M Wheels up front with 17x8s in the rear. All new chrome trim (minimalist approach) hood and fender trim shaved, Bedwood kit from Mar-K (Appalachian Red Oak) with stainless bed strips, LED Taillights, Gas tank was removed and mounted under the bed (CPP Aluminum Gas Tank) fills through a polished ball-milled fuel door located in bedwood. Stock door latches were replaced with Trique Manufacturing Bear-Claw Latch Kit. Subtle body modifications include: boxed stake bed pockets/ front & rear bed ends boxed, hidden tailgate latches/stainless tailgate links. Step plates have been smoothed (ribbed metal was cut-out and replaced with smooth 16 ga. Metal) and undersides have a flat piece of bar stock welded in place with threads tapped for mounting to step plate brackets like originals.
Very solid truck. Paint is DuPont Chromabase Basecoat/Clear. I have a quart along with other paint products I'll include with the truck for any future painting adventures.
Only outstanding issue(s) is the bench seat and AC/HEAT. I had the interior completed but I was not pleased with how it turned out. I removed the original seat and replaced it with a bench seat out of a 1991 Chevrolet Truck. I modified the seat brackets as to not detract from the rear window profile. The truck is set up for AC. The Griffin Radiator has the condenser built in. I simply have not purchased the under the dash unit and hardware.

NOTE:There are some minor paint chips in the door jams and inner-cab step areas (normal wear for a truck that's been driven and not trailered). Detailed pictures available upon request.
