The "Tri-Five" Chevys have long been a fan favorite amongst all classic car enthusiasts. The styling of each year is almost certain to attract everyone to either a 1955, 1956, or 1957. Some folks prefer all three! Whatever your preferred Tri-Five is, this 1956 210 has many attributes and upgrades sure to reel you in. Don't let the exterior fool you; inside and underneath this 210 is hopped up, cleaned up, and ready to cruise with the whole family! The... most unique feature of this car is the exterior patina. While it isn't for everyone, this is one vehicle that it really looks great on and shows the history of the vehicle. Some feel that patina shows the age that the vehicle has earned, and that is certainly the case with this car! There's just something about the untouched exterior that makes this car feel like a time machine to when it was just and old used car. The stance and upgraded wheels bring it back into reality though, as it is clear from a second glance that this old Chevy may be just a little more built than the exterior would initially lead you to believe. As crusty as it first appears, the body is actually quite straight and were someone wanting to fully restore it this could be a great candidate with some metal work. Aside from the subtle addition of the wheels and the lowered stance, there's not much to make onlookers think there's something special going on with this rusty 4-door...and that's kind of the point! Whether you open the hood or the door first, it immediately becomes clear that this car is not what you may have initially perceived it to be. The interior is mostly new, with freshly recovered seats and door panels. While the interior is clean, comfortable, and attractive, just enough of the original wear and patina has been left to retain some of the vibe given off by the exterior. The aftermarket steering wheel matches the interior colors, as does the upgraded tilt steering column. It could be considered the perfect blend of old and new! If the new interior pieces alone aren't enough to convince you this isn't grandma's old car, the 5-speed shifter sticking out of the floor ought to be! Under the hood is a new Chevrolet small block ZZ4 crate motor seated in a freshly painted engine bay. With an aluminum radiator sitting up front and the engine dressed up subtly with black accents, it is easy to tell this is no junkyard build. A shiny new master cylinder and brake booster stick out of the firewall, hinting at the front disc brake setup underneath this car. The transmission is a 5-speed Borg-Warner T-5, a worthwhile upgrade for increased driveablity. If you're looking for an affordable rat rod that the whole family can enjoy, this '56 210 would be a perfect candidate! Or, if you just want to cruise on the weekends with all your friends, this car would seat 4 quite comfortably. Whatever the intended purpose may be, this car is set up right and the unique patina will set it apart from just about anything anywhere it goes. DOES IT WORK?
