1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 -- Additional Info:

I personally sold this 57 to the current owner over 20 years ago! It is a #s matching dual quad car with power steering and brakes. It underwent a total nut and bolt body off frame restoration to factory specs. Only 1,945 miles since restored. The owner is a retired United pilot and kept the car carefully stored in his airplane hanger. EXTERIOR: Wow, even after 20 years the car is still gorgeous. The paint is polished like red glass.... Up front all the chrome is gleaming. It even has the reproduction T-3 headlights and the optional gold license plate frame. The hood, fenders, doors all fit nice and flush. The windshield iscrystal clear the rubber gasket is excellent. All the stainless molding around the window and down the sides was all replaced and is still polished and shiny. It has the optional door handle guards and dual mirrors. In the back it is decked out with dual antennas, continental kit, reverse lights and gold license plate frame. There are 4 like new hubcaps with spinners on red painted rims with correct reproduction wide white wall tires. Also has fender skirts which the owner decided to leave in the truck. Door jambs are real nice, rubber is still soft. The white convertible top still looks like new, the framework was restored and weather strips are replaced. INTERIOR: Inside the car is completely restored to stock original condition. Everything was replaced with factory type materials. Even the radio is original. The red metal is all pAinted to match the exterior. Gauges, knobs, chrome all look new. Odometer was set to 0 at restoration, now only has 1,945 miles. MOTOR COMPARTMENT: There's some really good stuff under the hood of this car. That big batwing air cleaner sits on top of two four-barrel carburetors with the aluminum intake. It is as the factory built them with original parts. #s matching 283 motor for dual carbs and powerglide trans. Also has desirable power steering and power brakes. It still looks very nice, like it's hardly been driven. They restored it with all the right parts down to the hoses and clamps. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It looks new in the trunk. Clean red painted metal. Has matching tire and rim, correct jack, proper decals and the rubber mat looks new. UNDERSIDE: Looks like a toy car. Every part is restored and painted to look new. The floors, braces, inner rockers are clean metal. Painted just like factory would have- oxide primer with red overspray from the body and undercoat on the seams. Frame and suspension is satin black, the driveshaft even has factory paint stripes. The front end was rebuilt, front and rear springs replaced, has correct spiral shocks. Correct dual exhaust. Parking brake cables, fuel tank were replaced. Bottom of motor is spotless. This is a very desirable car and the quality of the restoration has proven itself looking this good after 20 years. We have started a thorough service in our shop inspecting and servicing the mechanicals. It will drive as good as it looks. Everything was rebuilt when restored, even all new correct wiring harness. This is a lot of car being offered!
